The system may dazzle other road users if their  
headlights/lights are not detected for the following  
reasons, for example:  
Remove the protective  
cap from the headlight.  
The headlights/lights of oncoming vehicles are  
covered by crash barriers, for example.  
The headlamps/lights of the oncoming or preced-  
ing vehicle are dirty or not functioning.  
Settings  
Activation/deactivation  
The function is activated or deactivated in the fol-  
lowing menu in the Infotainment system:  
Turn and remove the  
socket with the bulb.  
Or:  
Replace light bulbs  
Remove the bulb from  
the socket.  
Insert a new bulb into  
the socket so that the  
fixing lug A snaps into  
the recess on the bulb.  
Insert the socket with  
the light bulb into the  
headlight and turn it  
clockwise to secure.  
What you should be mindful of  
DIY replacement of the following bulbs is possible.  
Have the remaining light sources replaced by a spe-  
cialist garage.  
The new bulb must conform to the specification of  
the original light bulb. The name of the bulb is  
marked on the bulb socket.  
After changing a bulb in the low beam light, the main  
beam or fog light, have the headlights adjusted by a  
specialist garage.  
Fit the protective cap on the headlight again.  
CAUTION  
Halogen lamps are pressurised and can burst during  
replacement!  
Wear gloves and safety goggles.  
NOTICE  
Contamination of the halogen lamp reduces the life  
of the lamp!

Insert the protective cap on the headlight  
Main beam and side lights  
Reinstall the protective cap.  
Remove protective cap from headlight  
Remove the protective  
cap.  
Front turn signal  
Remove the protective  
cap from the headlight.  
Changing the bulb for the main beam  
Turn and remove the  
socket with the bulb.  
Remove the base with  
the bulb.  
Remove the bulb from  
the socket.  
Insert a new bulb into  
the socket so that the  
fixing lug A snaps into  
the recess on the bulb.  
Change the bulb in the  
socket.  
Insert the socket with  
the light bulb into the  
headlight and turn it  
clockwise to secure.  
Change the light bulb for the parking light  
Insert the socket with  
the light bulb into the  
light so that the fixing  
lugs A fit into the re-  
cesses on the head-  
light.  
Remove the base with  
the bulb.  
Fit the protective cap  
on the headlight again.  
Change the bulb in the  
socket.  
Push the base with the  
bulb into the headlight  
as far as it will go.  
Fog lights  
Removing the cover cap from the wheel housing  
Adjust the front wheels so that the cover cap is ac-  
cessible.

Insert the bracket from  
the tool kit into the re-  
cess in the cover cap.  
Remove the cover by  
pulling on the bracket.  
Rear turn signal  
Loosen and remove the light  
Loosen and remove the  
grid in the area A .  
Removing the defective light bulb  
Remove the rubber  
protective cap from  
the headlight.  
Unscrew the screw.  
Turn the bulb and re-  
move it.  
Remove the light.  
Release the connector  
and remove it from the  
bulb.  
Slightly pull out the  
lock A at the plug.  
Press the safety button  
and remove the plug.  
Inserting a new bulb and cover cap in the wheel  
arch  
Replacing the light bulb  
Insert the plug into the new bulb until it clicks into  
place.  
Turn and remove the  
socket with the bulb.  
Insert the new bulb into the headlight so that the  
guide lugs on the bulb are aligned with the corre-  
sponding openings in the headlight.  
Turn the bulb clockwise to secure.  
Replace the rubber protective cap on the headlight.  
Insert the cover in the wheel arch and lock into  
place.
