Seat belts
General information
Rear head restraints
Every seat is equipped with a three-point seat
belt. When worn correctly, seat belts are the
most effective way to reduce the risk of serious or
fatal injuries in an accident. You should therefore
always wear your seat belt correctly and you
should also ensure that all vehicle occupants are
wearing their seat belts correctly while the vehi-
cle is moving.
Applies to: vehicles with adjustable head restraints
Although the vehicle is equipped with an airbag
system, every vehicle occupant must still wear a
seat belt. In addition to their normal function of
protecting the vehicle occupants in a collision,
the seat belts also hold them in a position where
the airbags can inflate properly and provide max-
imum protection. Seat belts offer protection in
accidents in which no airbags are triggered or
where they have already been triggered.
