curves or longer stretches of
roadway.
Functional limitations
The system may not be fully functional and may
provide incorrect information in the following sit‐
uations:
Depending on the equipment,
Speed Limit Info not available.
When traffic signs are fully or partially con‐
cealed by objects, stickers or paint.
When driving very close to the vehicle in front
of you.
In the case of navigation data that is invalid,
outdated or not available.
In areas not covered by the navigation sys‐
tem.
If the detected speed limit has been exceeded,
the indicator light will flash.
When roads differ from the navigation, such
as due to changes in road layout.
In case of electronic traffic signs.

CONTROLS
Visibility of the display
The visibility of the displays in the Head-up Dis‐
play is influenced by the following factors:
Shift lights in the instrument
cluster
Seat position.
Objects on the cover of the Head-up Display.
Sunglasses with certain polarization filters.
Wet road.
Unfavorable light conditions.
If the image is distorted, have the base settings
checked by a dealer’s service center or another
qualified service center or repair shop.
Current engine speed is displayed in the
tachometer.
Special windshield
The windshield is part of the system.
Arrow 1: successive yellow illuminated fields
indicate the upcoming shift moment.
The shape of the windshield makes it possible to
display a precise image.
Arrow 2: fields are illuminated in red. Do not
wait any further to shift.
A film in the windshield prevents double images
from being generated.
When the maximum RPM is reached, the entire
display flashes. The fuel supply is reduced to
protect the engine.
For this reason, it is strongly suggested to have
the special windshield replaced by a dealer’s
service center or another qualified service center
or repair shop, if necessary.
Shift lights in the Head-up
Display
Shift lights
Principle

ble acceleration can be achieved.
General information
If the Head-up Display is switched on, the Shift
lights will be displayed in the Head-up Display.
Current engine speed is displayed in the
tachometer.

play in the M view.
Arrow 2: fields are illuminated in red. Do not
wait any further to shift.
If the Head-up Display is switched off, the Shift
lights are displayed in the instrument cluster.
When the maximum speed is reached, the entire
display flashes red and the fuel supply is inter‐
rupted in order to protect the engine.
