Access to the front screw thread  
To access the front screw thread:

Warning  
Failure to observe this instruction  
could result in damage to certain  
components (e.g. braking, transmission) and  
to the absence of braking assistance the  
next time the engine is started.  
In case of battery or electric parking  
brake failure, it is essential to call a  
professional using flatbed recovery vehicles  
(excluding manual gearbox).  
ACCESSING TO THE TOOLS  
Unlock the steering and release the parking  
brake.  
Switch on the hazard warning lamps on both  
vehicles.  
Move off gently, drive slowly and only for a  
short distance.  
Access to the rear towing bracket  
(For ASEAN versions only)  
Remove the cover.  
To be towed  
Screw the towing eye in fully.  
The towing eye is stored under the boot floor  
carpet.  
Install the towbar.  
Put the gearbox or the drive selector into  
neutral.

The rear towing bracket is provided under the  
rear bumper, on the left side of the vehicle.  
Warning  
For petrol vehicles only  
Take extreme care when using the rear  
towing bracket.  
Avoid towing a vehicle that is heavier  
than yours, towing the vehicle out of  
a very snowy, muddy or sandy situation,  
starting off abruptly or making erratic driving  
manoeuvres that would place excessive  
stress on the towing bracket.  
There is a risk that the towing bracket/eye  
or the bodywork of the vehicle could break,  
causing material damage and/or serious  
injury.
