For safety reasons, adjustments must

only be made when the vehicle is

stationary.

Forwards-backwards

Before taking to the road and to make the most

of the ergonomic layout of the instruments and

controls, carry out these adjustments in the

following order:

► Turn the knob to adjust the backrest.

Height

– head restraint height.

– seat backrest angle.

– seat cushion height.

– longitudinal seat position.

► Raise the control bar and slide the seat

forwards or backwards.

– steering wheel height and reach.

– rear view mirror and door mirrors.

► Release the bar to lock the seat in position on

one of the notches.

Before moving the seat backwards,

ensure that there is nothing that might

prevent the full travel of the seat.

► Pull the control upwards to raise the seat or

push it downwards to lower the seat, until the

position required is obtained.

There is a risk of trapping or pinching

passengers if present in the rear seats or

jamming the seat if large objects are placed

on the ﬂoor behind the seat.

Reduce the heating intensity as soon as

possible.

Head restraint height

When the seat and passenger compartment

have reached a satisfactory temperature,

switch the function oﬀ; reducing electricity

consumption in turn decreases fuel

consumption.

Prolonged use of the heated seats is not

recommended for those with sensitive

skin.

There is a risk of burns for people whose

perception of heat is impaired (illness, taking

medication, etc.).

To keep the heated pad intact and to prevent

a short circuit:

– do not place sharp or heavy objects on the

seat,

– do not kneel or stand on the seat,

– do not spill liquids onto the seat,

– never use the heating function if the seat

is wet.

► To raise it, pull it upwards as far as possible

(notch).

► To remove it, press the lug A and pull it

upwards.

► To put it back in place, engage the head

restraint rods in the openings keeping them in

line with the seat backrest.

► To lower it, press the lug A and push down on

the head restraint at the same time.

► With the engine running, use the adjustment

knob to switch on and select the level of heating

required:

0 : Oﬀ.

1 : Low.

2 : Medium.

3 : High.

The front seats can be heated individually.

The head restraint has a frame with

notches which prevents it from lowering;

this is a safety device in case of impact.

The adjustment is correct when the upper

edge of the head restraint is level with the

top of the head.

Before leaving the vehicle, ensure that

the adjustment knob of the passenger

seat is at position 0, so that the heating does

not unnecessarily operate if no passenger is

present during the next journey.

Never drive with the head restraints removed;

they must be ﬁtted and correctly adjusted.

Door mirrors

► Turn the mirror towards the vehicle.

The objects observed are, in reality,

closer than they appear.

Take this into account in order to correctly

judge the distance of vehicles approaching

from behind.

If your vehicle is ﬁtted with this function, the

mirrors can be folded electrically from the inside,

with the vehicle parked and the ignition on:

Electric adjustment

► When stationary, lower the control A to

release the steering wheel.

► Adjust the steering wheel height and reach to

suit your driving position.

► Raise the control A to lock the steering

wheel.

► Turn control A to opposite the mark.

From outside: lock the vehicle using the remote

control or the "Keyless Entry and Starting"

system.

The folding and unfolding of the door

mirrors when locking or unlocking the

vehicle can be deactivated via the vehicle

conﬁguration menu.

As a safety precaution, these operations

should only be carried out while the

vehicle is stationary.

► Turn control A to the right or to the left to

select the corresponding mirror.

► Move the control in any of the four directions

to adjust.

Demisting - Defrosting

► Return the control to the central position.

Demisting-defrosting of the door mirrors

operates with the engine running, by

switching on the heated rear screen.

For more information on Demisting - defrosting

the rear screen, refer to the corresponding

section.

As a safety measure, the mirrors should

be adjusted to reduce the blind spots.

This system automatically and progressively

changes between day and night use by means

of a sensor measuring the light coming from the

rear of the vehicle.

Interior rear view mirror

Equipped with an anti-dazzle system, which

darkens the mirror glass and reduces the

nuisance to the driver caused by the sun,

headlamps of other vehicles, etc.

In order to ensure optimum visibility

during your manoeuvres, the mirror

lightens automatically when reverse gear is

engaged.

Manual model

Adjustment

► Adjust the mirror so that the glass is in the

"day" position.

Day/night position

Rear seats

► Press the corresponding control 1 to release

the backrest 2.

► Fold the seat back 2 on to the cushion.

Bench seat with ﬁxed one-piece cushion and

split backrest (1/3 - 2/3) which can be folded

individually to adapt the load space in the boot.

When folding the seat, the centre seat

belt should not be fastened but laid out

ﬂat along the backrest.

Folding the backrest

► Pull the lever to change to the "night" anti-

dazzle position.

► Push the lever to change to the normal "day"

position.

The rear seat cushion remains ﬁxed. To

increase the boot loading volume, tilt the

bench seat backrest.

Automatic "electrochrome" model

► Move the front seats forward if necessary.

► Position the seat belts on the backrest and

fasten them.

► Place the head restraints in the low position.

Controls

The controls are accessible in the "Air

conditioning" menu of touch screen A.

The demisting/defrosting controls for the

windscreen and rear screen are located below

the touch screen.

Air distribution

They can be removed and are interchangeable

side to side.

To remove a head restraint:

► Pull the headrest upwards to the stop.

► Then, press the lug A.

To reﬁt a head restraint:

► Engage the head restraint rods in the

apertures, keeping the head restraint in line with

the seat backrest.

To lower a head restraint:

► Press down on the head restraint and on the

lug A at the same time.

► Straighten the seat backrest 2 and secure it.

► Unfasten and return the seat belts to the

sides of the backrest.

When repositioning the backrest, ensure

that the seat belts are not trapped and

the red indicator, located next to the controls

1, is no longer visible.

Heating and Ventilation

Air intake

The air circulating in the passenger compartment

is ﬁltered and originates either from the

time in the sunshine, air the passenger

compartment for a few moments.

Put the air ﬂow control at a setting high

enough to quickly change the air in the

passenger compartment.

Temporarily deactivate the Stop & Start

system to maintain a comfortable temperature

in the passenger compartment.

Advice

Using the ventilation and air

conditioning system

► To ensure that air is distributed evenly,

keep the external air intake grilles at the base

of the windscreen, the nozzles, the vents, the

air outlets and the air extractor in the boot

free from obstructions.

► Do not cover the sunshine sensor located

on the dashboard; this sensor is used to

regulate the automatic air conditioning

system.

► Operate the air conditioning system for at

least 5 to 10 minutes once or twice a month to

keep it in perfect working order.

► If the system does not produce cold air,

switch it oﬀ and contact a CITROËN dealer or

a qualiﬁed workshop.

Condensation created by the air

conditioning results in a discharge of

water underneath the vehicle. This is perfectly

normal.

Servicing the ventilation and air

conditioning system

► Ensure that the passenger compartment

ﬁlter is in good condition and have the ﬁlter

elements replaced regularly.

We recommend using a composite passenger

compartment ﬁlter. Thanks to its special active

additive, this type of ﬁlter helps to purify the

air breathed by the occupants and keep the

passenger compartment clean (by reducing

allergic symptoms, unpleasant odours and

greasy deposits).

When towing the maximum load on a steep

gradient in high temperatures, switching oﬀ

the air conditioning increases the available

engine power, enhancing the towing capacity.

The heating only operates when the engine is

running.

► To ensure correct operation of the

air conditioning system, have it checked

according to the recommendations in the

Maintenance and Warranty Guide.

Avoid driving for too long with the

ventilation oﬀ or with prolonged operation

of interior air recirculation. Risk of misting and

deterioration of the air quality!

Stop & Start

The heating and air conditioning systems

only operate when the engine is running.

If the interior temperature is very high

after the vehicle has stood for a long

The air conditioning operates with the engine

running, but the ventilation and its controls can

be accessed with the ignition on.

Operation of the air conditioning and regulation

of temperature, air ﬂow and air distribution

in the passenger compartment are regulated

automatically.

► Select the Air conditioning touch

screen menu to display the controls page

for the system.

Each press on a button activates or deactivates

the function.

The three buttons can be activated

simultaneously. In this case, the ﬂows of

air from the central and side vents and the

footwell vents are favoured.

Temperature adjustment

► Press one of the arrows 2, or move the

slider from blue (cold) to red (hot) to adjust the

temperature to your liking.

Air conditioning On / Oﬀ

The air conditioning is designed to operate

eﬃciently in all seasons, with the windows

closed.

Air ﬂow adjustment

► Press one of the buttons 4 to increase or

decrease the speed of the air booster fan.

The air ﬂow symbol (a fan) is ﬁlled in

progressively as the speed of the fan is

increased.

It allows you:

– lower the temperature, in summer,

– increase the eﬀectiveness of the demisting in

winter, above 3°C.

► Press button 5 to activate/deactivate the air

conditioning system.

The locations of the buttons of the lower

band may vary, depending on equipment.

You can vary the air distribution in the passenger

compartment using the buttons 3.

"Normal": oﬀers the best compromise between

a comfortable temperature and quiet operation

(default setting).

"Fast": provides strong and eﬀective air ﬂow.

This setting is associated with AUTO mode only.

However, on deactivation of AUTO mode, the

last selected setting remains.

The air ﬂow symbol (a fan) is ﬁlled in

progressively as the speed of the fan is

increased.

By reducing the air ﬂow to minimum, you are

stopping ventilation.

Temperature adjustment

► Press one of the buttons 2 to decrease (blue)

or increase (red) the value.

The value indicated corresponds to a level of

comfort and not to a precise temperature.

"OFF" is displayed alongside the fan.

For maximum cooling or heating of the

passenger compartment, press the

temperature setting button down or up until

LO or HI is displayed.

Avoid driving for too long without

ventilation - risk of misting and

deterioration of air quality!

Changing the setting does not reactivate AUTO

mode if deactivated.

In cold weather with the engine cold, the

air ﬂow is increased gradually until the

comfort setting has been reached, in order to

limit the delivery of cold air into the passenger

compartment.

On entering the vehicle, if the interior

temperature is much colder or warmer

than the comfort setting requested, there

is no need to alter the value displayed in

order to reach more quickly the required

level of comfort. The system compensates

automatically and corrects the temperature

diﬀerence as quickly as possible.

Air distribution adjustment

You can vary the air distribution in the passenger

compartment using the buttons 3.

Windscreen.

Automatic comfort

programme

► Press the “AUTO“ button 7 to activate

or deactivate the automatic mode of the air

conditioning system.

The air conditioning system operates

automatically: the system manages the

temperature, air ﬂow and air distribution in the

passenger compartment in an optimum way

according to the comfort level you have selected.

► Go to the secondary page by pressing button

6 “OPTIONS” to adjust the automatic comfort

programme by choosing one of the available

settings.

Central and side vents.

Footwells.

Each press on a button activates or deactivates

the function.

The three buttons can be activated

simultaneously. In this case, the ﬂows of

air from the central and side vents and the

footwell vents are favoured.

You can manually adjust the air ﬂow and

distribution.

As soon as you modify a setting, the automatic

comfort programme is deactivated.

► Press the “AUTO“ button 7 to activate the

automatic comfort programme again.

► To change the current setting, press

and deteriorating air quality).

The air conditioning does not operate

when the air ﬂow adjustment is inhibited.

System switch-oﬀ

Ventilation function with the

ignition on

When the ignition is switched on, you can

use the ventilation system to adjust the air

ﬂow settings and the air distribution in the

passenger compartment for a duration which

depends on the battery charge.

On / Oﬀ

► Press this button to demist or defrost the

windscreen and side windows as quickly as

possible. The indicator lamp in the button comes

on.

This function does not operate the air

conditioning.

► Press this button; the indicator lamp in the

button comes on.

This action switches oﬀ all of the functions of the

system.

Temperature is no longer regulated. A slight ﬂow

of air can still be felt, resulting from the forward

movement of the vehicle.

Pressing any button reactivates the system

with the settings that were in use before the

deactivation.

The system automatically manages the air

conditioning (depending on version), air ﬂow

and air intake, and provides optimum distribution

towards the windscreen and side windows.

► To switch oﬀ demisting, press this button

again. The indicator lamp goes oﬀ.

Recirculation of interior air

The intake of exterior air helps avoid and

eliminate misting of the windscreen and side

windows.

Recirculating the interior air isolates the

passenger compartment from exterior odours

and fumes.

With Stop & Start, when demisting

- defrosting has been activated, STOP

mode is not available.

In "Permanent lighting" mode, the lighting time

varies according to the circumstances:

– With the ignition oﬀ, approximately 10 minutes.

– In energy saving mode, approximately 30

seconds.

► Press this button to demist/defrost the rear

screen and, depending on version, the door

mirrors. The button indicator lamp comes on.

Defrosting switches oﬀ automatically to prevent

excessive electrical consumption.

– With the engine running, unlimited.

► It is possible to stop the demisting / defrosting

operation before it is switched oﬀ automatically

by pressing this button again. The button

indicator lamp goes oﬀ.

When the front courtesy lamp is in the

"Permanent lighting" position, the rear

courtesy lamp also comes on, unless it is in

the "Permanently oﬀ" position.

To switch oﬀ the rear courtesy lamp, put it in

the "Permanently oﬀ" position.

Switch oﬀ the demisting/defrosting of

the rear screen and door mirrors as

soon as appropriate, as lower current

consumption results in reduced fuel

consumption.

and light in the passenger compartment, while

maintaining normal temperatures thanks to its

"high thermal protection" coating.

Advice on care

In order to preserve the properties of the glazed

roof, we recommend wiping and cleaning the

inner glass using a clean, soft and dry cloth.

For stubborn stains, the glass should be cleaned

using screenwash ﬂuid, rinsed with clean water,

then dried with a clean, soft cloth.

Do not use soapy water, abrasive

products, detergents (particularly those

with an ammonia base), solvents or solutions

with a high concentration of alcohol, petrol

etc.

It comes on automatically when the boot is

opened.

There are diﬀerent lighting times:

– when the ignition is oﬀ, approximately ten

minutes,

– in energy economy mode, approximately thirty

seconds,

– with the engine running, unlimited.

The driver's sun visor is ﬁtted with a vanity mirror

with concealing ﬂap and a card holder (or ticket

holder).

Do not ﬁx or attach anything to the sun

visor on the passenger side, as this could

cause injuries if the front airbag (ﬁtted in the

roof) were deployed.

USB socket

12 V accessory socket

Glove box

► To connect a 12 V accessory (maximum

power: 120 W), lift the cover and plug in a

suitable adaptor.

The USB socket is located in the central storage

compartment.

You can connect a portable device or a USB

memory stick.

It plays the audio ﬁles which are sent to your

audio system and played via the vehicle's

speakers.

These ﬁles can be managed using the steering

mounted controls or those on the touch screen.

Observe the maximum power rating to

avoid damaging your accessory.

The connection of an electrical device

not approved by CITROËN, such as a

USB charger, may adversely aﬀect the

operation of vehicle electrical systems,

causing faults such as poor radio reception or

interference with displays in the screens.

When the USB port is used, the portable

device charges automatically.

A message is displayed if the power drawn

by the portable device exceeds the current

supplied by the vehicle.

► To open the glove box, raise the control and

guide the lid to its open position notch.

For more information on how to use this

equipment, refer to the Audio equipment

and telematics section .

It contains the front passenger airbag

deactivation switch.

Never drive with the glove box open

when a passenger is at the front. It may

cause injury during sharp deceleration!

► To remove it on the driver's side, move the

seat backwards and unclip the fasteners.

► To reﬁt it, position the mat and secure it by

pressing.

► Check that the mat is secured correctly.

To avoid any risk of jamming the pedals:

– Only use mats which are suitable for

the fasteners already present in the vehicle;

these fasteners must be used.

– Never ﬁt one mat on top of another.

The use of mats not approved by CITROËN

may interfere with access to the pedals and

hinder the operation of the cruise control/

speed limiter.

They are located above each rear door.

► To access the closed storage compartment,

lift the lever to open the lid.

Mats

The approved mats have two fasteners

located underneath the seat.

Fitting

This storage compartment can be used

to house portable devices (e.g. mobile

phone, MP3 player) which can be connected

to the USB sockets or charged from the 12 V

accessories socket in the centre console.

When ﬁtting the mat for the ﬁrst time, on the

driver's side use only the fasteners supplied in

the enclosed sachet.

The other mats are simply laid over the carpet.

► Pull back the boot carpet to access the

storage box.

Depending on conﬁguration, it includes

dedicated storage ﬁttings:

– towing eye,

It can be used to secure shopping bags.

Take care to only hang up lightweight

bags.

For the versions with a storage box: it

To remove the shelf:

► release the two cords,

► gently lift the shelf, then remove it.

There are several ways of storing it:

– either upright behind the front seats,

– or ﬂat on the bottom of the boot.

Rear shelf (van version)

It allows the interior of the vehicle to be hidden in

addition to the existing shelf.

Do not place hard or heavy objects on

the rear shelf.

They can become dangerous projectiles in

the event of sudden braking or impact.

Do not place objects above the load

restraint.
