PRACTICAL ADVICE -> Replacing Bulbs for Your Citroen C4 SUV First Generation (2004-2010)

Headlamp  
Main beam  
Pull the rubber stops.  
Disconnect the bulb.  
Disengage the ends of the retain-  
ing spring to release it.  
Remove the bulb.  
Headlamp dipped beam  
Pull the rubber stops.  
Disconnect the bulb.  
Disengage the ends of the retain-  
ing spring to release it.  
Remove the bulb.  
Headlamp dipped beam

Direction indicator  
Bulb: H1 For vehicles not  
equipped with Xenon headlamp  
bulbs.

Note: A light mist of condensation  
may appear on the surface of the  
headlamp glass under certain  
conditions of use.  
Note: On HDi 92hp and 110hp  
engines, you have to detach the  
cover to access the front LH head-  
lamp.

Note: If it should be necessary to  
access the front RH headlamp,  
remove the cover by pressing the  
2 clips.  
The halogen bulbs should not be changed until they have been off  
for a few minutes (risk of serious burns).  
Do not touch the new bulb directly with your fingers;  
use a lint-free cloth.  
It is essential that only anti U.V. type bulbs are used in order not  
to damage the headlamp.

Rotate the bulb-holder A by a  
quarter turn and pull.

Unclip the transparent cover of the  
interior lamp to reach the bulb.  
Boot lighting  
Unclip the lens unit to access the  
bulb.  
Glovebox lighting  
Unclip the lens unit to access the

Spotlamps  
Unclip the cover of the interior  
lamp, then if necessary the parti-  
tion for the spotlamp concerned,

Rear lamp unit  
Open the boot:  
- First remove the top part of the  
rear lamp unit by undoing the  
screw A.  
Third stop lamp  
Consult your CITROËN dealer.  
Rear lamp unit  
(5-door model)  
- To have access to the nut B,  
detach the boot rear trim by  
removing the pins. Undo B.  
- Remove the bottom part of the  
lamp unit.  
Identify the failed bulb.  
Bulbs:  
Sidelamp: W 5  
Stop lamps and sidelamps:  
P 21/5.  
- To change a bulb, simply rotate it  
a quarter turn.  
Direction indicator:  
PY 21 W.

Removal  
Third stop lamp  
Consult your CITROËN dealer.  
Rear lamp unit  
(3-door model)  
To have access to the nut B, detach  
the boot rear trim by removing the  
pins. Undo B.  
Identify the failed bulb.  
Remove the bulb-holder by  
detaching the points A.  
Disengage the lamp unit.  
To change a bulb, rotate it a quar-  
ter turn.  
Bulbs:  
Direction indicator P 21 W.  
Reversing lamp P 21 W.  
Stop lamps and sidelamps:  
P 21/5.

Rear number plate lamp  
Foglamp  
Rotate the bulb-holder a quarter  
turn.  
Reversing lamp  
Rotate the bulb-holder a quarter  
turn.  
- Insert a thin screwdriver into one  
of the holes on the outside of the  
plastic cover.  
- Push outwards.  
- Remove the plastic cover.  
Bulb: P 21  
Bulb: P 21 (5-door model)  
- Replace the faulty bulb by simply  
pulling it out.  
Bulb: W 5 W.

After replacing a bulb, check the correct operation  
of the lighting and signalling.
