THE GEARS
To engage reverse (R) from neutral:

For version 1.4 8V and 1.6 16V, to en-
gage reverse (R) from neutral, raise
collar A-fig. 3 set under the knob and
move the lever rightwards and then
backwards at the same time.
IMPORTANT Only engage the re-
verse gear when the vehicle is com-
pletely stationary. With the engine
running, wait for at least 2 seconds
with the clutch pedal pressed to avoid
damaging the gears and scratching.
