Vehicles with central  
locking  
From Outside  
All doors can be locked and unlocked  
from outside with the key.  
From Inside

With the key: Turn the key in the  
driver's or passenger's door to  
position 1 to unlock all doors.

When inside, all doors can be locked  
by depressing the door handle 1.  
To lock the passenger's door  
individually, depress the door handle  
and close the door when leaving the  
vehicle.

WARNING  
If a failure occurs in the vehicle’s  
electrical system the front doors  
or the rear door can still be individually  
unlocked with the key.  
All doors can be unlocked using the  
door handle 2.  
With the remote control: Press  
the unlock button once to unlock all  
doors.

The direction indicators will flash  
twice to confirm the vehicle has been  
unlocked.  
NoteThe anti-theft alarm system will  
be disarmed only when the vehicle  
is unlocked using the unlock button  
on the remote control.

Automatic relocking  
To unlock only the tailgate when the  
vehicle is locked, press the tailgate  
unlock button twice within three  
seconds.  
To prevent the vehicle being left  
unlocked inadvertently, central  
locking and the anti-theft alarm  
system will be re-activated  
automatically 45 seconds after the  
unlock button is pressed if the  
following occurs during this period:  
Remote luggage compartment  
release  
•
•
No door is opened.  
The luggage compartment is not  
opened.  
•
The igntition is not switched on.

Unlocking the tailgate  
To open the luggage compartment  
press the release button.  
Vehicle speed must be below 7 km/h  
(4mph) and the vehicle must be  
unlocked.

With the key: To open, turn the  
key clockwise  
Note:The anti-theft system must be  
disarmed with the door unlock button  
before opening the luggage  
compartment with the key.

NoteThe anti-theft alarm system will  
be armed only when the vehicle is  
locked using the lock button on the  
remote control.

To activate central locking system:  
With the key: Turn the key in the  
driver’s or passenger's door to  
position 2to activate central locking.

With the remote control: Press  
the lock button once.  
It is not possible to lock the front  
doors by remote control when the  
tailgate is open.  
The direction indicators will flash once  
to confirm the system is operating.
