Resetting the sunroof

Whenever the vehicle battery is dis-

connected or discharged, or you use

the emergency handle to operate the

sunroof, you must reset your sunroof

system as follows:

Then, release the button.

1. Turn the ignition switch to the ON

position.

When this is complete, the sunroof

system is reset.

2. Set the sunroof to the maximum

TILT-UP position using the corre-

sponding sunroof switch.

3. Release the tilt button.

4. Press and hold the tilt button (for

more than 10 seconds) until the

sunroof has returned to the origi-

nal position of tilt after it is raised a

little higher than the maximum tilt

position. Then, release the button.

an amplifying antenna is installed in

washing the vehicle.

To remove the antenna, turn it coun-

1. Insert the net upper shaft into the

large hole and then secure by slid-

ing into the small hole.

When you load some cargoes on the

rear seat or rear cargo area, you

must install the barrier net behind

front seatback or rear seatback.

It is designed to help protect the

heads of the occupants by obstruct-

ing objects flying forward in frontal

collisions.

There are four hook holders on both

side of the headliner over the head-

rests for upper side fixation and on

the floor behind the rear seats for

lower side fixation.

To remove the barrier net

1. Loosen the straps by using the

strap adjusters and remove the

strap hooks from the hook holders.

• Do not put passengers in the

rear seat or cargo area behind

the barrier net.

2. Remove the net upper shaft by

pulling it through the large holes.

• Do not put passenger in the

rear center seat when the bar-

rier net is installed behind the

rear seats.The barrier net may

interfere with use of the rear

center safety belt.

3. Remove the barrier net.

strap should be fastened after

confirming that the hook is

inserted into the upper hook

sharp edge that can pass

on to the net or by suspending

heavy cargo and so on.

• Make sure that the seatbacks

are locked securely.

If no TP stations are found the unit

Notes of USB Hub

• A special iPod^®connection cable is

needed to connect the iPod^®to the

unit. This cable is available as orig-

inal accessory at your KIA dealer.

When using external equipment

with a current consumption

exceeding the specified 500 mA,

the unit switches off the USB

hub and gives a warning.

• It is recommended to fully charge

your iPod^®before use in your vehi-

cle. It can not be assured that all

iPod^®models are charged correct-

ly with the connection cable.

• The unit is tuned to a station that

does not transmit RDS signals or

the transmitter is too weak.

• Some copy protection procedures

are incompatible with accepted

standards for audio CDs. This is

not a fault on the unit

• Player cannot read CD. CD is dam-

aged or soiled.

> The required station cannot be

tuned to using automatic search.

> CD player does not work.

• In cold weather conditions, con-

densation may occur on the laser.

• The desired station is too weak.

• Set desired station manually

(manu. tuning).

• With the set on, wait for 5 minutes

until the condensation evaporates.

• Check whether the antenna is

completely and correctly connect-

ed.

> No sound during CD playback.

• Some CDs contain multimedia

data which is not recognised by the

unit.

> No traffic announcements are

switched through (during CDC

playback).

• Advance the tracks until music is

heard.

• Activate the traffic announcement

by pressing TA button
