FRONT PASSENGER AIR BAG DEACTIVATION
IGNITION SWITCH SEQUENCE*
When using a rearward facing child restraint system on the front passenger
seat, the front passenger air bag should be deactivated.
Starting from the LOCK position, repeatedly pressing the start/stop button
without depressing the clutch pedal will switch the state of the ignition
switch from ON to OFF. From the OFF position, the LOCK position will be
reached after a door is opened or closed: the steering wheel will be locked.
The front passenger air bag deactivation
switch is located in the glovebox.
STARTING & STOPPING THE ENGINE WITH THE
INTELLIGENT KEY*
To deactivate the front passenger airbag,
push and turn the switch to the <OFF>
position.
The Intelligent Key System allows you to start and stop the engine without
taking the intelligent key from your pocket or bag.
HEADLAMPS & WIPERS
To start the engine:
1. Depress the clutch pedal and move the shift lever to the N (Neutral) position.
Push the push button ignition switch to start the engine.
Auto Light System
With the light switch in the <AUTO> position, the vehicle lighting will
be switched on and o! automatically, depending on the ambient light
conditions.
To stop the engine:
1. Stop the vehicle.
2. Manual transmission models: depress the clutch pedal and move the
shift lever to the N (Neutral) position.
3. Push the push button ignition switch to stop the engine. The ignition
switch will now be in the OFF position.
Turn the inner ring to switch on the front and/or rear fog lights.
