Lever in EASY mode

"E" is displayed when this

When the ignition is switched on,

Operating mode:  
1st gear  
Running out of diesel fuel  
After running out of fuel, you  
can travel a short distance  
after 10 pump repriming op-  
erations (see corresponding  
section).  
After filling the fuel tank (minimum  
5 litres), operate the repriming pump  
at least 10 times (see corresponding  
section).  
2nd gear  
3rd gear  
4th gear  
5th gear  
Fuel gauge  
This indicates the quantity of fuel  
available:  
1/1 and six blocks, the fuel tank is full.  
-
- R and one block flashing, the fuel  
tank is on the reserve.  
Low fuel level  
When the minimum level in the fuel  
tank is reached, the last block flashes  
accompanied by an audible signal.  
In certain driving conditions and depend-  
ing on the engine, the distance which  
can be travelled with the fuel remaining  
may be less than 30 miles (50 km).  
You have approximately 5 litres  
remaining.  
"!" warning light  
If this warning light comes  
on, with the engine running,  
this indicates a malfunction  
of the "2 Tronic" gearbox.  
When the frequency of the flashing  
increases, you have approximately  
3 litres remaining.  
Contact a PEUGEOT dealer.  
At least 5 litres must be add-  
ed after running out of fuel.
