Ease of use and comfort  
F Take your weight off the backrest.  
F Turn the control knob to adjust the seat  
backrest angle.  
Front seats  
For safety reasons, only adjust seats  
when the vehicle is stationary.  
Height of driver's seat  
Before moving the seat backwards,  
ensure that there is nothing that might  
prevent the full travel of the seat.  
(Depending on version).  
There is a risk of trapping or pinching  
passengers if present in the rear seats  
or jamming the seat if large objects are  
placed on the floor behind the seat.  
Once these adjustments have been made,  
check the instrument panel can be viewed  
correctly from your driving position.  
F Pull the control upwards to raise or push  
it downwards to lower, as many times as  
necessary to obtain the position required.  
Correct driving position  
Forwards-backwards  
Before taking to the road and to make the most  
of the ergonomic layout of the instruments and  
controls, carry out these adjustments in the  
following order:  
Heated seat control

the seat backrest angle,  
the seat cushion height,  
the longitudinal position of the seat,  
the height of the steering wheel,  
the rear view mirror and door mirrors.  
F Raise the control and slide the seat  
forwards or backwards.

With the engine running, the front seats can be  
heated separately.  
F Press the switch. The indicator lamp comes  
on.  
Access to rear seats  
(3-door)  
Prolonged use at the highest setting is  
not recommended for those with sensitive  
skin.  
There is a risk of burns for people whose  
perception of heat is impaired (illness,  
taking medication, for example).  
There is a risk of overheating the system if  
material with insulating properties is used,  
such as cushions or seat covers.  
Do not use the function:  
F Pressing a second time stops operation.  
The temperature is controlled automatically.  
The heated seat function is deactivated  
approximately two minutes after the ignition is  
switched off. To reactivate the function, switch  
on the ignition and press the control again.

if wearing damp clothing,  
if child seats are fitted.  
To avoid breaking the heating element in  
the seat:  
Switch off the heated seats as soon as  
you consider it necessary, as reducing  
the consumption of electrical current  
reduces fuel consumption.  
F Pull this control towards you to fold the  
backrest and move the seat forward.  
When replacing it, guide the seat until the  
backrest and seat cushion fully lock into  
position.

do not place heavy objects on the seat,  
do not kneel or stand on the seat,  
do not place sharp objects on the seat,  
do not spill liquids onto the seat.  
To avoid the risk of short-circuit:  
-
-
do not use liquid products for cleaning  
the seat,  
never use the heating function when  
the seat is damp.  
Do not use the function when the seat is  
not occupied.  
Reduce the intensity of the heating as  
soon as possible.  
Make sure that no object or person  
prevents the seat runners from returning  
to the original position.  
Make sure that the seat belt has reeled  
in correctly so that it does not obstruct  
passengers' access to the rear seats.  
When the seat and passenger  
compartment have reached an  
adequate temperature, you can stop  
the function; reducing the consumption  
of electrical current reduces fuel  
consumption.

Rear seats  
Your vehicle is equipped with a rear bench  
seat that has a fixed one-piece cushion and,  
depending on version:  
Folding down is performed at the rear of the  
vehicle with the boot open.

a folding backrest in two halves (50/50),  
a folding one-piece backrest.  
F Place the head restraints in the low position.  
For more information on the Rear head  
restraints, refer to the corresponding section.  
Storage of belts  
F Fold back the backrest and lock it on the  
anchorage B.  
F Check that the backrest of the rear seat is  
properly locked.  
Rear head restraints  
(Depending on version).  
3-door  
5-door  
F Pull the strap A located behind the backrest  
to unlock it and fold it down on the cushion.  
When they are not being used or before folding  
down a backrest of the bench seat, be sure  
to store the rear seat belts by inserting the  
tongues in the dedicated housings located on  
the side pillars.  
The rear head restraints are removable and  
have two positions:  
-
-
high, the position for use.  
low, the position for storage.

For more information on Demisting and  
defrosting the rear window, refer to the  
associated section.  
To raise the head restraint, pull it upwards.  
To lower it, press the catch A then push down  
the head restraint.  
Electric door mirrors  
Adjustment  
To remove it:  
-

slightly tilt the backrest,  
Folding/unfolding  
move the head restraint to the high position,  
press the catch A while pulling the head  
restraint upwards.  
When parking the vehicle, the door mirrors can  
be folded in manually.  
To reinstall it:

slightly tilt the backrest,  
insert the rods of the head restraint into the  
holes.  
The original settings are kept when they  
are folded out again.  
To reach the low position, press the catch A.  
Rear view mirror (manual)  
F Move control A to the right or to the left to  
select the corresponding mirror.  
F Move control B in all four directions to  
adjust.  
F Return control A to its home position  
(centre).  
Mirrors  
Manual door mirrors  
Objects seen in the mirror are in reality  
closer than they appear.  
Take this into account when assessing  
the distance of vehicles approaching from  
behind.  
The rear view mirror has two positions:  
-
-
day (normal),  
night (anti-dazzle).  
Demisting – Defrosting  
To change from one to the other, push or pull  
the lever on the lower edge of the mirror.  
Use the rear screen demist – defrost  
control.  
F Move the lever in any of the four directions  
to adjust the mirror.

Recommendations

If the interior temperature is very high after  
the vehicle has stood for a long time in the  
sunshine, please ventilate the passenger  
compartment for a few moments.  
To obtain a perfectly even distribution  
of air, ensure that the external air intake  
grille, the air vents, air passages and  
the air outlets in the footwells are not  
obstructed.  
Ensure that the passenger compartment  
filter, situated behind the glove box,  
inside the air conditioning unit, is in good  
condition. Replace the filter elements  
periodically. If you drive in a dusty  
environment, have them replaced twice  
as often.

While the vehicle is stationary, hold the  
steering wheel then lower the control to unlock it.  
Adjust the height as required and raise the  
control again to lock the steering wheel.  
For safety reasons, these operations must  
not be carried out while driving.  
Operate the air conditioning system for  
5 to 10 minutes, once or twice a month, to  
keep it in perfect working order.  
To ensure correct operation of your air  
conditioning system, we also advise you to  
have it checked regularly.  
If the system does not produce cold air, do  
not use it and contact a PEUGEOT dealer  
or a qualified workshop.

Temperature adjustment  
The condensation created by the air  
conditioning results in a discharge of water  
under the vehicle which is perfectly normal.  
F Turn control 1 from blue (cold) to red (hot) to  
adjust the temperature to your liking.  
Footwells.  
The air conditioning system does not  
contain chlorine and does not present  
any danger to the ozone layer.  
Air flow adjustment  
Windscreen and footwells.  
Windscreen.  
F Turn the dial 2 from position 1 to position  
4 to obtain the desired flow of air.

If you put the air flow control in position 0  
(system deactivation), the temperature is no  
longer controlled. A slight flow of air can still be  
felt, resulting from the forward movement of the  
vehicle.  
Heating  
The heating system only operates with the  
engine running.  
Manual air conditioning  
The system only operates when the engine is  
running.  
Avoid driving for too long with the  
ventilation off (risk of misting and  
deterioration of air quality).  
Air distribution adjustment  
Turn dial 3 to vary the air distribution in the  
passenger compartment.

It automatically adjusts all settings for the  
following functions to provide optimum  
operation for the comfort level chosen:

The "AUTO" symbol disappears if you change  
a setting.  
Air flow adjustment  
This system is designed to operate effectively  
in all seasons, with the windows and the  
electric fabric roof closed.  
For your convenience the settings are retained  
between vehicle starts.  
When the engine is cold, the air flow will only  
reach its optimum level gradually to prevent too  
much cold air being distributed.  
F Press button 2 (filled fan or empty fan) to  
increase or reduce the air flow.  
Temperature adjustment  
The air flow symbol (a fan) gradually fills.  
The value shown on the display is a level  
of comfort, not a temperature in Celsius or  
Fahrenheit.  
Air distribution adjustment  
F Press button 3 successively to direct the air  
F Press button 1 down to decrease the value

or up to increase it.

A setting of around 21 provides optimum  
comfort. Nonetheless, depending on your  
needs, a setting between 18 and 24 is typical.  
On entering the vehicle, if the interior is very  
cold or very warm, there is no need to change  
the value displayed in order to obtain the  
comfort required. The system automatically  
corrects the temperature difference as quickly  
as possible.

F Press button 6 "AUTO". The symbol AUTO  
goes off.

choose the following modes in succession:

windscreen.

Air conditioning On/Off  
F Press button 5 to switch off the air  
For maximum cooling or heating of the  
passenger compartment, it is possible  
to exceed the lowest value of 14 or the  
highest value of 28.  
F Press the temperature setting button  
down or up until LO or HI is displayed.

Deactivating the system  
With Stop & Start, when demisting –  
defrosting has been activated, STOP  
mode is not available.  
F Press air flow button 2 (empty fan) until the

F Set the air distribution control to the  
"Windscreen" position.  
F Press button 4 to recirculate the interior air  
or to allow the intake of exterior air.  
Pressing button 4 again or the "AUTO" button  
6 returns to automatic management of the  
intake of air. The air recirculation symbol goes  
off.  
With the manual air  
conditioning system  
Avoid driving for long periods with the  
system deactivated (risk of misting and  
deterioration of air quality).  
F Put the temperature and air flow controls to  
the dedicated marked position.  
F Put the air intake control to the "Exterior air  
intake" position (manual control moved to  
the right).  
F Set the air distribution control to the  
"Windscreen" position.  
F Switch on the air conditioning by pressing  
the A/C button; the indicator lamp for the  
button comes on.  
Recirculation of interior air  
Recirculation of interior air isolates the  
passenger compartment from exterior odours  
and fumes.  
Return to exterior air intake as soon as possible  
to avoid deterioration of the air quality and the  
formation of mist.  
Front demist – defrost  
These markings on the control  
panels indicate the control positions  
for rapid demisting or defrosting of  
the windscreen and side windows.  
During the winter period, direct  
the side air vents towards the side  
windows to optimise their demisting  
and defrosting.  
Avoid using recirculation of interior air for  
prolonged periods – Risk of misting and  
deterioration of the air quality!

The courtesy lamp is

F Press this button again to switch off the  
demisting/defrosting. The indicator lamp  
associated with the button goes off.  
The courtesy lamp is

F Press the dedicated button, its indicator  
lamp comes on.  
F To switch it off, press this button again; its  
indicator lamp goes off.  
Switch off the demisting/defrosting of  
the rear screen and door mirrors, if  
fitted, as soon as appropriate, as lower  
current consumption results in reduced  
fuel consumption.  
If it stays in this position, "permanently lit",  
the courtesy lamp will go out automatically  
about 20 minutes after the last door has  
been closed.  
The other settings (air flow, air distribution,  
etc.) are controlled automatically.

Boot lighting

The control button is located  
on the heating/ventilation or air  
conditioning system control panel.  
Switching on  
The rear screen demist – defrost can only  
operate when the engine is running.  
F Press this button to demist/defrost the rear  
screen and, depending on version, the door  
mirrors. The indicator lamp associated with  
the button comes on.  
This comes on automatically when the boot is  
opened and goes off automatically when the  
boot is closed.  
In this position, it lights the opening  
of one of the doors.

Observe the maximum power rating to

Sun visor  
It can be used to store the vehicle's handbook  
packetc.  
F To open the glove box, raise the handle.  
It contains the switch for deactivating the  
front passenger's airbag A and the button to  
reinitialise the under-inflation detection system  
B (depending on equipment).  
The sun visor is fitted with a vanity mirror with  
concealing flap and a card holder (or ticket  
holder).  
It includes a space C provided at the side for  
storage of a water bottle (1 litre maximum).

To connect portable devices such as an iPod®  
type digital audio player or USB memory stick.  
It reads the audio files which are sent to your  
audio system, to be listened to through the  
vehicle's speakers.  
You can manage these files using the steering  
mounted controls or those on the front of the  
audio system.  
To connect a portable device so that you  
can listen to your music files via the vehicle's  
speakers.  
The management of the files is done using your  
portable device.  
F To connect a 12 V accessory (maximum  
power: 120 Watts), lift the cover and  
connect a suitable adaptor.  
Do not exceed the maximum power rating  
of the socket (risk of damage to your  
device).  
For more information on Audio  
equipment and telematics and in  
particular the use of this equipment, refer  
to the corresponding section.  
The connection of an electrical device  
not approved by PEUGEOT, such as  
a USB charger, may adversely affect the  
operation of vehicle electrical systems,  
causing faults such as poor radio  
reception or interference with displays in  
the screens.  
Connected to the USB port during  
use, the portable device may recharge  
automatically.  
For more information on Audio  
equipment and telematics and in  
particular the use of this equipment, refer  
to the corresponding section.  
The USB port and jack socket also allow  
a smartphone to be connected:  
-
either as a MirrorLinkTM connection,  
using just the USB port,  
-
or as a iPhone® connection, by using  
the USB port and the jack socket at the  
same time.  
These connections allow certain telephone  
applications to be used on the touch screen.

Refitting  
Mats  
To refit the mat on the driver's side:  
F position the mat correctly,  
Fitting  
F put on the fixings again by pressing,  
F check that the mat is secured correctly.  
To avoid any risk of jamming of the pedals:  
-
only use mats which are suited to the  
fixings already present in the vehicle;  
these fixings must be used,  
-
never place one mat on top of another.  
To remove the shelf:  
The use of mats not approved by  
F open the boot lid,  
PEUGEOT may interfere with access to  
the pedals and hinder the operation of the  
speed limiter or the ETG gearbox.  
F unclip the two cords,  
F pull the shelf hard to release it from its  
hinges that are attached to the trim of the  
boot lid.  
You can then store it vertically behind the front  
seats.  
Rear shelf  
When fitting the mat for the first time, on the  
driver's side use only the fixings provided in the  
wallet attached.  
The other mats are simply placed on the  
carpet.  
Removing  
To make it easy to load luggage, the rear shelf is  
attached to the boot lid.  
When closing the boot lid, make sure that nothing  
stops the shelf from moving back into position.  
To remove the mat on the driver's side:  
F move the seat as far back as possible,  
F unclip the fixings,  
To put the shelf back into position:  
F open the boot lid,  
F
hold the shelf with the underside towards you,  
F remove the mat.

Depending on configuration, it includes  
dedicated storage fittings for:  
F clip the shelf into both hinges,  
F pass the two cords through the guide hooks  
on each side of the struts,  
Hooks  
-
-
towing eye,  
temporary puncture repair kit.  
F clip both cords into place.  
Do not place heavy objects on the shelf,  
this may cause it to become unclipped.  
For the versions with a storage box: it  
must be put back in place before loading  
the boot.

Boot fittings  
These can be used to secure shopping bags.  
Maximum weight permitted on the hooks:  
2 kg.  
Storage box  
1. Hooks.  
2. Temporary use spare wheel and tools or  
under floor storage.  
Be absolutely certain to put the temporary  
use spare wheel or the under floor storage  
back in place before loading the boot.  
F Pull back the boot carpet to access the  
storage box.
