The 48 V hybrid technology requires no  
connection to charge the traction battery.  
The Hybrid system does not operate  
continuously, but is activated according to  
the state of the vehicle, the state of charge  
of the traction battery, the thermal comfort  
of the passenger compartment (switching on  
the heating or air conditioning), the driving  
conditions (acceleration, deceleration, braking,  
engine start-up) and the road conditions (uphill,  
downhill):
