Closing
BONNET
RUNNING OUT OF FUEL
(DIESEL)
Lower the bonnet and release it at
the end of its travel.
If you should run out of fuel, it is nec-
essary to re-prime the circuit.
Check that it is locked.
If the engine does not start after 15
seconds, repeat the repriming opera-
tion.
"Bonnet open" warning*
With the engine running or when the
vehicle is moving, the door open warn-
ing light comes on, accompanied by
an audible signal and a diagram on
the multi-function display, if the bonnet
is not properly closed.
2 litre 16V HDI engine
- fill the fuel tank with at least five litres
of diesel,
- unclip the style cover to gain access
to the repriming pump,
- unscrew the degas screw,
- squeeze and release the manual
repriming pump until diesel is seen
escaping via the degas screw,
- retighten the degas screw,
- operate the starter until the engine
starts.
2.2 litre 16V HDI engine
- fill the fuel tank with at least five litres
of diesel,
- unclip the style cover to gain access
to the repriming pump,
Opening
- operate the pump until pressure is
felt,
- operate the starter until the engine
starts.
Pull the lever, located on the left
beneath the dashboard, down-
wards.
Lift the catch and raise the bonnet.
Bonnet struts open the bonnet and
keep it open.
* Only on vehicles fitted with an
alarm.
