Practical information -> Changing a bulb for Your Peugeot 607 4 Door First Generation (1999-2010)

4 - Direction indicators:  
PY 21 W (amber).  
CHANGING A BULB  
Turn the bulb holder a quarter turn  
and remove it.  
Front lights  
Remove the bulb and change it.  
Refit the style cover.  
Front foglamps: H1-55 W.  
Note: in certain climatic con-  
ditions (low temperature,  
humidity), condensation on  
the inside surface of the  
headlamp glass is normal; it disap-  
pears a few minutes after the lights  
are switched on.  
2 - Main beam headlamps:  
H1-55 W.  
Turn the protective cover of the  
faulty bulb a quarter of a turn and  
remove it.  
In the engine compartment, remove  
the style cover secured by one or two  
butterfly screws, a plastic retainer clip  
and two quarter turn screws.  
On the left-hand side, remove the par-  
tition by lifting it to gain access to the  
lights.  
Disconnect the connector.  
Press the end of the securing clip  
to free it. Change the bulb.  
When fitting the new bulb, ensure  
that the direction notches are  
positioned correctly and the secur-  
ing clip is fixed properly.  
Handle the bulbs with a dry  
cloth.  
The headlamps are fitted with  
polycarbonate glass with a  
protective coating. Do not clean them  
with a dry or abrasive cloth, nor with a  
detergent or solvent product.  
Use a soft, damp cloth with soapy  
water.  
When you have finished, do not forget  
to put everything back correctly.  
Reconnect the connector.  
Refit the protective cover.  
1 - Dipped beam headlamps:  
H7-55 W or Xenon bulb.  
3 - Side lights: W 5 W.  
Pull the socket rearwards.  
Remove the bulb and change it.  
WARNING: RISK OF  
ELECTROCUTION  
Xenon bulbs must be replaced  
by a PEUGEOT dealer.

Integrated direction indicator

Rear wing lights  
Push the repeater forwards and  
release it.  
1 - Direction indicators:  
PY 21 W (amber).  
Remove the two butterfly nuts  
securing the light.  
Remove the eyelet.  
Take out the lamp.  
Remove the repeater and change it.  
This can be obtained from  
PEUGEOT dealer.

Turn the lamp holder a quarter turn.  
Change the faulty bulb.  
Lock the bulb holder in place.  
2 - Brake lights/side lights:  
P 21/5 W.  
Detach the luggage net.  
Lift the boot carpet with the lifting  
hook. Secure this hook behind the  
boot seal.  
When refitting it, ensure that the lamp  
is correctly positioned and secured.  
Unclip the lower part of the sill trim,  
then dislodge it by pulling upwards.  
Remove the plastic retainer clip  
securing the side trim to the floor.  
Unclip the side trim.  
Amber coloured bulbs, such as  
the direction indicators and side  
repeaters, must be replaced  
with bulbs of identical specifi-  
cation and colour.

Remove the plastic retainer clip

Unclip the side trim.

Boot lid lights  
Number plate lights:  
W 5 W.  
Remove the transparent cover  
using a screwdriver blade.  
Change the faulty bulb.  
1 - Reversing lights: P 21 W.  
2 - Fog lamps: P 21 W.  
Remove the three plastic retainer  
clips securing the cover trim (those  
nearest to the lamp).  
Move aside the trim.  
Turn the bulb holder a quarter turn.  
Change the faulty bulb.
