To be effective, a seat belt
must be tightened as
close to the body as pos-
sible.

If the seats are fitted with arm-
rests, the lap section of the seat
belt must always pass under the
armrest.
Sitting with your back to the road
while the vehicle is moving is pro-
hibited.
Depending on the nature and the
seriousness of the impact, the
pre-tensioners may be triggered
before and independently of the air
bags.
In all cases, the air bag warning
light comes on.
Following a collision, have the
system checked by a PEUGEOT
dealer.
