Operation  
The hill driving assistant helps the driver to  
move off and upward on a hill when the vehi-  
cle is stationary.  
The reverse lights switch on when the reverse  
gear is selected and the ignition is on.

This system is also active when reversing up-

The reverse gear can only be engaged when  
the car is stationary. When the engine is run-  
ning and before engaging this gear, wait  
about 6 seconds with the clutch pressed  
down thoroughly in order to protect the gear-  
box.

If you do not start the vehicle immediately  
after taking your foot off the brake pedal, the  
vehicle may start to roll back under certain
