Functionality

Function restriction

If an obstacle is detected, the Infotainment will display a visible

message and an audible signal will sound.

The function cannot be used in the following cases:

The interval between the signals becomes shorter as the clear-

ance is reduced. At a distance of less than 30 cm from the ob-

stacle, a continuous tone sounds.

If the automatic distance control (ACC) is activated

If the cruise control system is activated

If Sport driving mode is selected

If the driver does not respond to the warning, the system trig-

gers automatic emergency braking at speeds below 8 km/h in

order to reduce the impact.

Troubleshooting

Orientation lines and functional surfaces

Orientation lines

After switching on, an audible signal sounds for 3 seconds

and there is no obstacle near the vehicle

Seek the help of a specialist garage.

After switching on, not all scanned areas are displayed on the

Infotainment screen

Move the vehicle a few meters forwards or backwards.

If the scanned areas are still not displayed, seek the help of a

specialist garage.

When reversing, the area behind the vehicle is displayed in the

Infotainment screen complete with orientation lines.

The lines indicate the track, which is controlled at the cur-

rent steering angle. The distance between the side lines cor-

responds approximately to the vehicle width including mir-

rors.

The camera is equipped with a cleaning system. Cleaning

takes place automatically when the rear window is washed.

driver when the vehicle is approaching a trailer draw bar. A line

for approaching the trailer draw bar is displayed on the screen.

Functionality

When reversing, the Rear Traﬃc

Alert warns of approaching vehicles.

Vehicle in collision area - danger of collision!

Approaching vehicle

If the driver does not respond to the

warning, the vehicle is braked auto-

matically at a speed below 10 km/h.

Operating conditions

✓ No accessories are connected to the trailer socket.

Function restriction

Vehicle with Parking Aid

If an approaching vehicle is detected in the area behind your ve-

hicle, a graphical warning is displayed in the Infotainment. At the

same time, a continuous tone sounds.

Manoeuvre Assist’s functionality may be limited in unfavourable

weather conditions.

Warning in the event of an impending collision

▶ The indicator light in the exterior mirror cover on the side

upon which the object was detected will ﬂicker and then light

up.

Exit warning

Usage

A warning signal sounds.

▶

The assist system warns when opening the door in front of ap-

proaching objects, in order to avoid a possible collision.

Warning in the event there is no immediate danger of collision

▶ The indicator light in the exterior mirror cover on the side

upon which the object was detected will light up.

Functionality

The assist system monitors the area beside and behind the vehi-

cle up to a distance of approximately 35 m.

Requirements

✓ The vehicle does not move.

✓ The ignition is switched on.

✓ The speed of the approaching object is faster than 2 km/h.

✓ No accessories are connected to the trailer socket.

After switching oﬀ the ignition, the assistant will remain ac-

tive for about 3 minutes.
