Functionality  
Automatic switch-on does not activate automatic  
braking.  
If an obstacle is detected, the Infotainment will dis-  
play a visible message and an audible signal will  
sound.  
Switching off  
Disengage reverse gear.  
The interval between the signals becomes shorter as  
the clearance is reduced. At a distance of less than  
30 cm from the obstacle, a continuous tone sounds.

If the driver does not respond to the warning, the  
system triggers automatic emergency braking at  
speeds below 10 km/h in order to reduce the impact.  
Automatic switch off  
The driving speed is higher than 15 km/h.  
Automatic braking can be activated and deactivated  
in the infotainment.  
Function restriction  
In the following cases, the system does not have to  
issue a warning of an obstacle, or the warning may  
be issued incorrectly:  
Display  
The recorded areas vary according to the equipment.  
If the weather conditions are unfavourable.  
The detected obstacles are moving.  
Sensor signals are not reflected by the surface of  
the obstacles.  
It is a small obstacle, e.g. a stone or a pillar.  
Settings  
The system settings are made in the infotainment  
system in the following menu:  
A Route controlled at the current steering angle  
Acoustic signals on/off  
Or:  
One-time deactivation/activation of automatic  
braking  
Change to the rear view camera display  
System fault  
Troubleshooting  
After switching on, an audible signal sounds for 3  
seconds and there is no obstacle near the vehicle  
Obstacle at a distance of less than 30 cm  
Obstacle at a distance of more than 30 cm  
Obstacle outside the route
