Service and maintenance Â
Select the appropriate engine oil Â
based on its quality and on the Â
minimum ambient temperature Â
3 230. Â
Engine oil viscosity grades Â
Recommended fluids, Â
lubricants and parts Â
The SAE viscosity grade gives Â
information of the thickness of the oil. Â
Multigrade oil is indicated by two Â
figures, e.g. SAE 5W-30. The first Â
figure, followed by a W, indicates the Â
low temperature viscosity and the Â
second figure the high temperature Â
viscosity. Â
Select the appropriate viscosity grade Â
depending on the minimum ambient Â
temperature 3 230. Â

Topping up engine oil Â
Caution Â
Only use products that meet the Â
recommended specifications. Â
In case of any spilled oil, wipe it up Â
and dispose it properly. Â
9 Warning Â
Operating materials are Â
hazardous and could be Â
poisonous. Handle with care. Pay Â
attention to information given on Â
the containers. Â
Engine oils of different manufacturers Â
and brands can be mixed as long as Â
they comply with the required engine Â
oil quality and viscosity. Â
Use of engine oils for all petrol Â
engines with only ACEA quality is Â
prohibited, since it can cause engine Â
damage under certain operating Â
conditions. Â
Select the appropriate engine oil Â
based on its quality and on the Â
minimum ambient temperature Â
3 230. Â
All of the recommended viscosity Â
grades are suitable for high ambient Â
temperatures. Â
Coolant and antifreeze Â
Use only Lobrid antifreeze approved Â
for the vehicle. Consult a workshop. Â
The system is factory filled with Â
coolant designed for excellent Â
corrosion protection and frost Â
protection down to approx. -28 °C. In Â
cold regions with very low Â
temperatures the factory filled coolant Â
provides frost protection down to Â
approx. -37 °C. This concentration Â
should be maintained all year round. Â
Engine oil Â
Engine oil is identified by its quality Â
and its viscosity. Quality is more Â
important than viscosity when Â
selecting which engine oil to use. The Â
oil quality ensures e.g. engine Â
cleanliness, wear protection and oil Â
aging control, whereas viscosity Â
grade gives information on the oil's Â
thickness over a temperature range. Â
Additional engine oil additives Â
The use of additional engine oil Â
additives could cause damage and Â
invalidate the warranty. Â
