Within one minute after switching off  
ignition, operate the wiper lever to  
positon the wiper blades vertically on  
the windscreen.  
Lift the wiper arm until it stays in the  
raised position, press button to  
disengage the wiper blade and  
remove.  
Diesel fuel system bleeding  
If the tank has been run dry, the diesel  
fuel system must be bled. Switch on  
the ignition three times for  
15 seconds at a time. Then crank the  
engine for a maximum of  
40 seconds. Repeat this process after  
no less than 5 seconds. If the engine  
fails to start, seek the assistance of a  
workshop.  
Power saving mode  
This mode deactivates electrical  
consumers to avoid excessive  
discharging of the vehicle battery.  
These consumers, such as the  
infotainment system, windscreen  
wipers, low beam headlights,  
courtesy light, etc. can be used for a  
total maximum time of about  
40 minutes after ignition is switched  
off.  
Attach the wiper blade slightly angled  
to the wiper arm and push until it  
engages.

Deactivating power saving mode  
Power saving mode is deactivated  
automatically when the engine is  
restarted. Run the engine for a  
sufficient charge:  
for less than 10 minutes to use  
the consumers for approx.

the consumers for up to approx.  
30 minutes  
Lift wiper arm. Disengage wiper blade  
as shown in illustration and remove.  
Switch off ignition.

Halogen headlights  
Bulb replacement  
Switch off the ignition and switch off  
the relevant switch or close the doors.  
Lower wiper arm carefully.  
Only hold a new bulb at the base. Do  
not touch the bulb glass with bare  
hands.  
Use only the same bulb type for  
replacement.  
Replace headlight bulbs from within  
the engine compartment.  
Bulb check  
After a bulb replacement switch on  
the ignition, operate and check the  
lights.  
1 : high beam, turn light

from the reflector housing.  
High beam

1. Rotate the cap anticlockwise and  
remove it.

4. Replace the bulb and connect it to  
the plug connector.  
5. Insert and push the bulb socket  
into the reflector housing by  
setting the lug into position.

2. Rotate the lower bulb socket  
anticlockwise to disengage.  
Withdraw the bulb socket from the  
reflector housing.  
2. Lift the retainer, then pull the plug  
connector backwards.  
3. Fold down the retainer and  
remove the bulb from the reflector  
housing.  
Low beam  
1. Rotate the cap anticlockwise and  
remove it.  
3. Press latch and remove the bulb  
from the bulb socket.  
4. Replace the bulb and push it into  
the reflector housing by setting  
the lug into position.  
4. Replace the bulb and attach it to  
the bulb socket.  
5. Insert the bulb socket into the  
reflector housing and rotate  
clockwise.  
5. Fold up the retainer and hold in  
position.  
6. Attach the plug connector to the  
bulb and fix it with the retainer.  
6. Fit the cap and rotate clockwise.  
7. Fit the cap and rotate clockwise.

1. Rotate the cap anticlockwise and  
remove it.  
3. Remove the bulb from the plug  
connector by pulling.  
Sidelight / daytime running light  
In case of defective LEDs, have them  
replaced by a workshop.  
4. Replace the bulb and connect it to  
the plug connector.  
5. Insert the bulb socket into the  
reflector housing and push it  
forwards until it engages.  
LED headlights  
Headlights for low and high beam,  
sidelights, daytime running lights and  
turn lights are designed as LEDs and  
cannot be changed.  
6. Fit the cap and rotate clockwise.  
Front fog lights  
Have lights repaired by a workshop in  
case of failure.  
The bulbs are accessible from the  
underside of the vehicle.  
Eco-LED headlights  
2. Push the bulb socket to the left  
and withdraw it from the reflector  
housing.  
The turn lights are designed as bulbs.  
1. Turn the bulb holder anti-  
clockwise and remove it from the  
reflector housing.

pulling it straight back.  
3. Remove the bulb socket.  
a) Version without LED:

socket with bulb and attach the

Tail lights  
Depending on version, tail lights and  
brake lights are designed as LEDs. In  
case of defective LEDs, have them  
replaced by a workshop.

Number plate light  
The number plate light is designed as  
LEDs and cannot be changed. In  
case of defective LEDs, have them  
replaced by a workshop.  
2. Turn bulb socket anticlockwise  
and remove from light assembly.  
Interior lights  
Have the following bulbs replaced by  
a workshop:  
1. Slide the light assembly forward  
and remove it at the back.  
courtesy light, reading lights  
load compartment light  
instrument panel illumination  
3. Pull bulb from bulb socket and  
replace it.
