Operation of a hands-free device without
external antenna, with mobile phone
standard GSM 900/1800/1900 and UMTS,
is permitted only if the maximum
transmission power of the phone does not
exceed 2 Watt for GSM 900 and otherwise
1 Watt. The instructions of the
manufacturer of the telephone and
ha nds-free device must b e observed in a ll
cases.

The Vauxhall installation instructions and
the operating guidelines provided by the
telephone manufacturermust be observed
when fitting and operating a mobile
telephone. Failure to do so couldinvalidate
the vehicle’s operating permit(EU Directive
95/54/EG).
Mobile phones and radios can cause
malfunctions of the vehicle electronics
when operated inside the vehicle without
an external antenna, unless the
instructions above are observed.
Mobile phones which do not comply with
the above standards, and radios, may
only be used with antennae installed on
the outside of the vehicle.
Recommended conditions for fault-free
operation:
For reasons of safety, we recommend that
you do not use the phone while driving.
Even use of a hands-free set can be a
distraction while driving. Be sure to observe
any country-specific regulations.

z Maximum transmission power 10 Watt.
z Installation of the telephone in a suitable
spot (see information on page 75).
Obtain advice on pred eterm ined
installation locations for the external
antenna and equipment holder and ways
of using devices with transmission power of
more than 10 Watts.
We recommend that you consult your
Vauxhall Authorised Repairer, who will
have brackets and various installation kits
available as accessories and will install
them in accordance with regulations.
