To deactivate the child safety locks:

Press the button on the driver's door con-
trol panel.

The message Rear child lock
Deactivated will be shown in the
instrument panel and the indicator light
will go out to show that the child safety
locks are deactivated.
When the ignition is switched off, the current
setting will be saved. If the child safety locks
were activated when the ignition was
switched off, they will remain activated the
next time the ignition is started.
