CD player HU-650
CD player
Insert a CD. If there is already a CD in the
player, activate it by turning the SOURCE knob
or pressing the CD shortcut key.
CD eject
If you press this button the CD stops playing
and the disc is ejected.
NOTE: For reasons of traffic safety, you have
12 seconds to handle the ejected CD. Otherwi-
se, the CD is drawn back into the player and
resumes with the most recently played track.

Fast forward/rewind
Press and hold or to search within a
track or the entire disc. The search continues as
long as the button is depressed.
Changing tracks
Press or to come to the previous or next
track. The track number is shown on the
display. The steering wheel keypad can also be
used for this.
Scanning
Scan plays the first ten seconds of each track.
Press the SCAN or EXIT button when you
find a track you wish to listen to.
Random
Press RND to connect the random function.
The unit plays tracks from the disc in random
order. “RND” (random) is displayed as long as
the function is activated.
NOTE! If the quality of the CD does not
comply with the standard EN60908, or if it has
been recorded using poor equipment, sound
quality may be poor or playback interrupted.
IMPORTANT! Only use standard size
discs (12 cm - no smaller).
Do not use CDs with adhesive disc labels.
The heat from the CD player may cause the
label to detach, possibly damaging the CD
player.

External CD changer
CD changer
The external CD changer (option) is mounted
behind the panel on the rear left side of the cargo
compartment.
Turn the SOURCE knob to activate CD changer
mode. The CD changer resumes playing the disc
and track that was playing last. If the CD
changer magazine* is empty
“LOAD CARTRIDGE” is displayed.
Loading discs in the CD changer:
1. Slide open the CD changer cover.
2. Press the cartridge eject button on the changer.
3. Pull out the CD cassette and insert the discs.
4. Reinsert the cartridge in the CD changer.
Selecting disc number
Select which disc is to be played by turning the
PRESET/CD knob (HU-450) or using buttons
1-6 (HU-650/850).
The numbers of the disc and the track are shown
in the display.

Internal CD changer HU-850
Internal CD changer
HU-850 contains an internal 6-disc CD changer.
Press the CD shortcut key or turn the SOURCE
knob to activate the CD player. The CD player
resumes playing the disc and track last played.
You can insert 6 discs in the CD player. To
insert a new disc, you must have an available
position in the player. This is done by selecting
from buttons 1-6. An available position is
shown on the display. Make sure “LOAD
DISC” is displayed before inserting a new disc.
