Vehicles with a Starter Button
In the remote control vehicle key, there is a chip used to automatically deactivate the electronic immobilizer when there is a

The electronic immobilizer is automatically engaged as soon as the ignition is switched off ⇒ Starter button.
You can only start the engine with a suitably coded Volkswagen Original vehicle key. You can obtain coded vehicle keys
from an authorized Volkswagen dealer or authorized Volkswagen Service Facility.

The starter button replaces the ignition
lock (Press & Drive).
Start the engine with the starter button and by pressing the brake pedal.
The vehicle can only be activated when there is a valid vehicle key inside the vehicle.
Depending on the vehicle equipment, the function readiness is indicated by the starter button blinking.
The electronic steering lock is activated when you leave the vehicle by opening the driver door when the ignition is switched o
(depending on the country and the vehicle equipment) ⇒ Steering information.
