Never leave children unsupervised in the vehicle. The cigarette lighter can be used when the

ignition is switched on.

Never put paper or any other combustible materials in the ashtray.

—With the ignition switched on, press in the knob on the cigarette lighter.

—Wait for the lighter to pop out.

—Pull out the cigarette lighter and use (→ Ashtray and cigarette lighter, Introduction/General

The cigarette lighter socket can also be used as a 12-volt socket.
