Auxiliary heater switches off automatically
The auxiliary heater switches itself off automatically if one of the following conditions is met:
— The programmed departure time has been reached or the set operating time has elapsed (→ Auxiliary heater and auxiliary
ventilation).
— The yellow fuel gauge indicator lamp lights up .
— The charge level of the 12-volt vehicle battery is too low.
In order to burn the remaining fuel in the auxiliary heater, the auxiliary heater will continue running for a short time after being
switched off manually or automatically.
When the vehicle is at a standstill, the auxiliary heater can be activated up to three times in succession for the maximum
operating duration.
Operating noises can be heard if the auxiliary heater is switched on.
The 12-volt vehicle battery will discharge if the auxiliary heater or auxiliary ventilation is run several times over an extended
period. Drive the vehicle for an appropriate distance in order to recharge the 12-volt vehicle battery.
If you park on a downhill slope with very little fuel in the tank, just above reserve level, the fuel gauge may be inaccurate and
lead to functional restrictions of the auxiliary heater.
