Front Seats

The Phaeton is available with

air-conditioned seats.

12-Position Front Seats

Adjustm ent functions

The seat belt mechanism integrated in

the front seats give the Phaeton an even

greater level of comfort. The optional

automatic lap belt available with the

18-position seat gives increased seat belt

comfort and improved safety. The Phaeton

also has an active headrest system.

The Phaeton comes with 12-position

seats standard.

The following functions are

electrically adjustable:

• Seat backward and forward.

• Seat height.

• Seat inclination angle.

Mem ory functions

Air conditioning function

The memory package for the 12-position

seats includes a range of savable functions.

In addition to the seat settings, the memory

function can also save the positions of the

steering column, the mirror and the

seat belts.

Air conditioning in the 12-position seats is

provided by ventilators that are integrated

in the seats and feed temperate air through

the fine perforations in the leather.

Easy-entry function

The easy-entry function facilitates

convenient entry and exit of the vehicle

by automatically moving the steering

column into its uppermost and

furthest-forward position.

18-Position Front Seats

Mem ory functions

The Phaeton can be equipped with even

more luxurious optional 18-position front

seats. The 18-position front seats can be

equipped with optional automatic lap belts.

In addition to the functions featured in the

12-position front seats, the memory

package for the 18-position seats also

offers the option of saving the positions of

the headrest, the seat depth and the upper

seatback angle.

Adjustm ent functions

The 18-position front seats provide for

these additional adjustments:

Air conditioning and m assage functions

The 18-position front seats have both

air conditioning and massage functions.

• Upper seatback angle relative to the

lower portion of the seatback.

The massage function is achieved by

automatic manipulation of the mechanical

four-position lumbar support. When the

massage function is activated, the lumbar

support moves up and down to help relax

the occupant’s spine and back muscles.

• Seat depth from the front of the cushion

to the seatback.

• Electrical adjustment of headrest height.

Rear Seats

The Phaeton is available with three rear

seat variations:

positions that distinguish it from the

standard rear seat:

• Standard rear seat.

• Electrically adjustable lumbar support

and massage.

• Premium rear seat.

• Seat ventilation and heating.

• 10-position individual rear seats.

• Electric headrest height adjustment.

Standard Rear Seat

• Seat occupancy detection – the head

restraints rise automatically when

the seat is occupied and the seat heater

is enabled.

The standard rear seat can comfortably

accommodate three people. Side air bags

and manually adjustable headrests are

provided. An optional seat heater is

available with the standard rear seat.

Controls

Most of the controls for the premium rear

seats are located on the sides of the seat

cushions. The control dials for rear seat

heating are located at the rear of the center

console.

The comfort-orientated premium rear

seat system includes the following

additional features in the outside seating

The front passenger seat can be moved

forward with a separate button.

10-Position Individual Rear Seats

• Seat occupancy detection – the head

restraints rise automatically when

the seat is occupied and the seat heater

is enabled.

The 10-position individual rear seats are

available as an option only on Phaetons

equipped with the 18-position front seats.

• Memory function – allows several seat

positions to be saved.

The following functions on the 10-position

individual rear seats are electrically

adjustable:

• Air conditioning – individual seats are

air-conditioned with temperate air fed

through perforations in the leather.

• Seat cushion backward and forward.

• Seat tilt angle.

• Massage function.

• Headrest height.

Controls

• Lumbar support backward and forward.

• Lumbar support up and down.

The controls for the 10-position rear seats

are incorporated into the rear of the center

console. This is also the location of the

control dial for rear seat heating.

In addition, the 10-position rear seats

also have:

• Easy-entry function – the seats move

back 3.9 inches (10 cm) automatically

when the door is opened.

The front passenger seat can be moved

forward with a separate button.
