Body for Your Volkswagen Polo SUV Sixth Generation (2017-2021)

Body
Body structure
The body of the Polo 2018 is a completely new design. The modular transverse matrix (MQB-A0) forms the basis
for the vehicle floor. The new platform allows a longer wheelbase, greater luggage compartment volume and
considerably more interior space combined with sporty exterior dimensions.
The wheelbase is 90 mm longer compared with the previous model.
The weight of the new Polo on the MQB platform has only increased slightly despite its larger size and the
stricter rigidity and crash requirements. The consistent lightweight construction has been achieved by using 31%
ultra-high-strength hot-formed components. The body rigidity has increased by 28% compared with the
predecessor. The Polo 2018 was awarded five stars in the Euro NCAP test.
