Air conditioning
The Polo features one heater and two types of air conditioning system:

Manual air conditioning system
When the manual/mechanical air conditioning system is installed, the vehicle interior forms a single climate
zone. The desired temperature is set on the control panel via a rotary knob and cable. The output and interior
temperatures are not monitored. The air conditioning system is switched on and off via the A/C button.
Climatronic with two temperature zones
With Climatronic, the temperature can be set
individually for the driver's side and the front
passenger side in a range from 16°C to 29.5°C.
The temperatures are regulated with three vent
temperature senders:

Driver's footwell
and the photosensor for
sunlight penetration.
