Securing a child seat using the seat belt

on itself. For rear-facing child seats, use the lowest position of the seat belt height adjuster.
3. Fasten the seat belt and guide it through the child seat as described in the child seat manufacturer’s instructions.
4. Ensure that the seat belt is not twisted.
5. Insert the latch plate into the buckle for the appropriate seat and push it down until it audibly engages.
Child seats with the “semi-universal” approval category that are secured by means of a seat belt and support foot must not be installed
on the centre rear seat.
