♦ The notice -A- provides details abouthe type of refrigerant,
the volume of refrigerancharged in the system during pro‐
duction and which refrigeranoil is used.
♦ Symbols on the notice -A- indicate the risks thamighbe en‐
countered when handling refrigeranand when working on the
refrigerancircuit.
♦ In addition, imay specify standards, e.g. specific SAE stand‐
ards thaare valid in the USA. SAE J639 describes the safety
instructions for air conditioning systems in passenger cars.
SAE J842 describes thaonly components and materials ap‐
proved for R1234yf refrigeranmay be used, while SAE J2845
lk
indicates thaonly trained and certified persons may carry ou
repairs and service work on the refrigerancircuiof an air
conditioning system.
♦ Depending on the type and production period, imay also in‐
dicate the GWP for the refrigeranused.
♦ The capacities and type of refrigeranoil marked on the notice
-A- indicate the status during production of the vehicle. The
latesapplicable values should always be gleaned from the
vehicle-specific workshop manual ⇒ Heating, air conditioning
