terminal and then the
terminal and then the
ter-
The rated voltage of both batteries must be 12V. The
capacity (in Ah) of the 12 volt charging vehicle bat-
tery must not be significantly lower than the capaci-
ty of the discharged 12 volt vehicle battery.
Connecting
— Connect the
terminal.
After switching on the ignition, the indicator lights
light up from the isolation box.
Use another vehicle's 12 volt vehi-
cle battery to operate the vehicle
— If, after a short distance, one of the above-men-
tioned indicator lights does not go out, seek the
help of a specialist garage.
WARNING
Operate these vehicle functions after disconnecting
and connecting the 12 volt vehicle battery
Risk of injury! Danger of damage to vehicle!

Connect the jump start cable
Using the jump-starting cable
— Switch off the ignition.
Usage
— Connect the terminal clamps of the jump start ca-
bles in the order shown in the legend.
With the help of jump start cables, a vehicle with
a discharged or defective 12-volt vehicle battery can
be started using the 12-volt vehicle battery of an-
other vehicle.
What you should be mindful of
WARNING
Risk of explosion and chemical burns!

Start the engine
— Start the engine of the current-giving vehicle and
let it idle.
— Start up the vehicle with the discharged 12 volt
vehicle battery.
Blown fuse
— If the engine of the vehicle with the discharged
12 volt vehicle battery does not start within 10
seconds, repeat the starting procedure after ap-
proximately 30 seconds.
