Sliding/tilting roof
Opening
Applies to vehicles with electric windows in the driv-
er's door.
What you should be mindful of
— Press the corresponding button until it stops; the
window opens automatically. Pressing the button
again will stop the opening process.
To reduce the risk of pinch injuries when closing the
tilt/slide sunroof, the vehicle has a force limiter.
If the switch is held in the closed position and the
closing process is hindered by an obstacle, the
movement of the glass pane is stopped and the pane
moves back a few centimetres.
Closing
Applies to vehicles with electric windows in the driv-
er's door.
If the obstacle prevents it from being closed for the
next 10 seconds, the closing process is interrupted
once again and the window goes down by several
centimetres.
— Pull the corresponding button until it stops; the
window closes automatically. By pressing the
button again, the closing process is stopped.
After switching off the ignition, the windows
can still open and close for about 10 minutes
so long as none of the doors are opened.
If the obstacle is not removed, the power limit is de-
activated when the switch is held again when the
door is closed again (if the time span between the
closing attempts is less than 3 s). The sliding/tilting
roof will then close with full force.
