Driving with a trailer
The rear and side sensors of Park Distance Control are not switched on if a trailer is electrically connected:
—No warnings are given for obstacles.
—The manoeuvre braking function is also automatically deactivated.
Some Park Distance Control settings, e.g. the volume of the acoustic signals, can be stored in the personalised user accounts.
The settings change automatically when the user account is changed.
Switching on
1. Select reverse gear.

Switching off
1. Shift out of an engaged reverse gear.

function button in the upper area of the Infotainment system.

Park Distance Control also switches itself off if the vehicle is driven forwards at higher speed.
Automatic activation when driving forwards
The function can be switched on and off in the Park Distance Control settings in the Infotainment system.
Park Distance Control is activated automatically when an obstacle is encountered in the front area, such as in heavy traffic, or when
driving into a garage.
1. To close the Park Distance Control display again, tap the home button
or the
function button on the Infotainment system.
No automatic braking intervention takes place (→ Automatic braking intervention).
Automatic activation is available again under the following conditions:
—The vehicle was accelerated to over a speed of around 15 km/h (around 9 mph) and then slowed down below this speed again.
the ignition was switched off and then back on again.
