especially if it is done at the edge of the

road. To reduce the risk of serious injury, be

10. Remove the spare wheel (conventional or

inflatable) and on-board tools from the

luggage compartment.

On vehicles equipped with speed control, the

"vehicle lift mode" shall be activated when

changing a wheel or lifting the vehicle with a

platform.

The vehicle lift mode switches off the air

suspension control. This prevents the

suspension from being adjusted when the

vehicle is raised.

Two-piece wheel bolts

WARNING

Two-piece wheel bolts must be used for this

vehicle. In the case of two-piece wheel bolts,

the ball collar is not fixed to the head.

If the wheel bolts are improperly tightened,

they could come loose while driving and cause

an accident, serious injury and loss of control

of the vehicle.

Loosen the wheel bolts

● Only use wheel bolts that correspond to the

wheel rim in question.

– Insert the wheel spanner into the screw as

far as it will go → fig. 265 .

● Never use different wheel bolts.

– Hold the spanner by the end and turn the
