In Radio mode, you can receive radio stations that are available on different frequency bands and also store your  
favourites to station keys for quick access.  
The available reception types and frequency bands depend on the equipment and are not available in all countries.  
Frequency bands may be discontinued, switched off or no longer offered in some countries.

Selecting a frequency band or reception mode  
Before selecting a station, you first need to select a frequency band or reception mode. Different stations are  
available depending on the selected frequency band or reception mode.  
The available frequency bands and reception types depend on the equipment and are not available in all countries.  
1. Touch Source to open the list of frequency bands and reception modes.

Searching for and selecting a station  
You can select radio stations in various ways. The options available depend on the frequency band and reception  
mode.  
Selection via frequency band(AM and FM)  
1. Display the frequency band.  
2. Touch the cursor, move on the frequency band and release at the desired frequency.  
Or: touch a point on the frequency band. The cursor will automatically go to the relevant frequency.

The station is set at that particular frequency.  
Selection from the station list(AM and FM/DAB)  
The station list shows the currently available stations. Depending on the equipment, you may have to update the  
station list manually if you left the area after the station list was last accessed. In the FM  
/DAB frequency band, the station list normally updates itself automatically.  
1. Open the station list.  
2. Touch the required station.  
The selected station is set. In the case ofFM  
/DAB, the best reception mode is selected automatically according to availability of the station.  
Searching for and filtering stations(Internet Radio)  
In Internet Radio mode, you can filter stations by category or use a full-text search to find stations.  
1. Open the station selection.  
2. Select the category according to which the stations should be filtered.  
Or: Tap to start the full-text search. The input line is displayed.  
3. Enter the name of the required station or your preferred category.  
The list of stations found is automatically updated as you type.  
4. Touch the required station.  
The selected station is set.  
SCAN Searching in SCAN mode(AM and FM/DAB)  
In SCAN mode, the stations on the frequency band are set automatically one after the other and played back for  
approx. 5 seconds.  
1. Touch SCAN to start SCAN mode.  
SCAN mode starts and the station currently set is shown in the display. ASCAN function button is displayed  
next to it.  
2. To select a station, touchSCAN.  
SCAN mode stops and the station is set.SCAN is hidden.  
Storing stations to station buttons  
You can store up to 38 stations from different frequency bands and reception modes on station buttons as favourites.  
1. Set the required station.  
2. Call up the station buttons.  
3.

Or: Tap a pre-assigned station button and hold for around 3 seconds.  
Or: Tap and hold the station in the station list.  
The station buttons are displayed.  
4. Tap the desired station button.  
The station is stored to the selected station button.  
If a station has already been stored to the station button, that station will be removed from the station button

and replaced by the new station.  
Online functions in radio mode  
Depending on the equipment, the Infotainment system may feature online functions in radio mode.  
Online functions in radio mode are not available in all countries and vehicle models.  
The online functions in radio mode include, for example, Internet Radio.  
What you need in order to use online functions in radio mode  
The vehicle is equipped withWe Connect or We Connect Plus.  
You have an active We Connect user account.  
The vehicle is assigned to yourWe Connect user account.  
You have purchased a corresponding data plan for an Internet connection from theIn-Car Shop or you have a data  
plan for the SIM  
card of your mobile telephone and are connected to your vehicle via the Wi-Fi Hotspot on your mobile telephone.  
For streaming services, you need to have an existing account with the respective provider.

Special functions in radio mode  
The special functions in radio mode listed below may not be available in all Infotainment systems or in all countries,  
depending on the equipment.  
You can activate and deactivate the special radio mode functions listed below in the radio mode settings (→ Radio).  
TP (Traffic Programme)  
The TP  
function monitors the reports from a set traffic news station and automatically outputs them in radio mode or during  
media playback. It must be possible to receive a traffic news station for this purpose.  
Some stations that do not broadcast their own traffic news support theTP  
function through a corresponding traffic news station (EON).  
The system will always automatically tune to a traffic news station in the background if one is available in theAM  
frequency band or media mode.  
If no traffic news station can be received,No TP is shown in the display. The unit will automatically search for an  
available traffic news station. As soon as a new traffic news station is available, the status on the display changes  
back to TP.  
The TP  
function must be activated in the settings for radio mode in order to receive traffic announcements.  
Traffic news stations are not available in all countries.  
Switching the TP function on  
1. In radio or media mode, tap  
Radio and activate Traffic programme TP.  
Other announcements  
In addition to the messages from the TP  
function, you can also receive other announcement from the radio stations in the DAB frequency range, for instance  
weather reports.  
“Switching on” other announcements  
1. You can activate this function in the radio mode settings.  
Automatic station change  
In the DAB  
frequency band, the best reception mode is selected automatically according to availability of the station.  
If the reception of the selected station in theDAB  
frequency band is lost, the radio can automatically select this station or a similar station with the best reception  
quality in the FM frequency range, provided the station is available.  
“Switching on” automatic station change  
1. You can activate this function in the radio mode settings.  
Changing to similar stations  
If the reception of a station deteriorates or is lost, the radio automatically switches to an alternative station, e.g. a  
neighbouring regional station, depending on station availability and reception quality.

Internet Radio  
Internet Radio is a reception mode for Internet radio stations and podcasts which is independent ofAM  
, FM and DAB. As it is transmitted via the Internet, reception is not regionally restricted.  
Internet Radio is available only when the Infotainment system has an active Internet connection (→ Radio – online  
functions), . Costs may be incurred for data transmission from the Internet when using Internet Radio mode.  
Functioning of Internet Radio depends on the privacy settings in the vehicle

Station logos  
Station logos can be pre-installed in the Infotainment system for some frequency bands.  
The station logos are automatically assigned to the stations ifAutoselect station logos is activated in the settings.  
In Internet Radio mode, the Infotainment system accesses the station logos from an online database and assigns  
them automatically to the stations.  
Manually assigning station logos  
1. In radio mode, tap  
Radio Station logos.  
2. Touch the station to which you wish to assign the station logo.  
3. Select the station logo.  
4. If required, repeat the process for other stations.  
5. Tap  
to finish assigning station logos.  
Introduction  
In media mode, you can playback media files from data media via the Infotainment system.  
With some equipment levels, the following data media may be used:  
USB  
data medium, e.g. USB stick.

flash drives exclusively with FAT32 file system.  
Bluetooth device, e.g. mobile telephone.  
With some equipment levels, the following types of media files may be played back:  
Audio data, e.g. music.  
Video files.  
Streaming services  
With some equipment levels and in some countries, you can also use streaming services (→ Media – online functions).
