Functionality
Fuses protect the vehicle systems from damage
caused by excessive current. The fuse blows when
the current is exceeded.
Earth point
Starting the engine
1. Start the engine of the current-supplying vehi-
cle and let it idle.
2. Start up the vehicle with the discharged 12V ve-
hicle battery.
Blown fuse
3. If the engine of the vehicle with the discharged
12V vehicle battery does not start within 10
seconds, repeat the starting procedure after ap-
proximately 30 seconds.

Replacing a fuse

Do not repair fuses or replace them with higher-
rated fuses.

— Replace the fuse by means of the clamp located
on the inside of the fuse box cover in the engine
compartment.
If a newly inserted fuse blows again, seek assis-
tance from a specialist garage.

Use the appropriate end of the clamp based
on the fuse dimensions.
One fuse may serve several consumers. One
consumer may have several fuses.

Dirt and moisture in the fuses can cause damage to
electrical equipment!
