What you should be mindful of
Force limiter
The driver's window has a force limiter.
Operation
If there is an obstacle, the closing process is inter-
rupted and the glass pane retracts by several centi-
metres.
When the windows are open, troublesome
noises may occur at certain speeds.
If the obstacle prevents it from being closed again
for the next 10 seconds, the closing process is inter-
rupted once again and the window moves back sev-
eral centimetres.
Opening
Applies to models with an electric window in the
driver's door.
— Press the control down and the window opens
automatically. Pressing the control again will stop
the opening process.
If you attempt to close the window again within the
next 10 seconds, and the obstacle has not been re-
moved, the closing process will be stopped.
Closing
The force limiter will not operate if you attempt to
close the window again within the next 10 seconds.
The window will now close at full force! If you wait
more than 10 seconds, the force limiter will be
switched on again.
Applies to models with an electric window in the
driver's door.
— Push up the corresponding control until it stops;
the window closes automatically. Pushing the
control up again stops the closing process.
CAUTION
After the ignition is switched off, the windows
can still be opened and closed for about
10 minutes, provided none of the doors is opened.
Risk of injury!
Although the driver´s window has a force limit-
·
er, it should be closed carefully.
