To select the previous or next track/station,  
briefly push the MMI control dial to the left or  
right.  
One of the privacy settings is acti-

on the privacy setting that is acti-  
vated.

function steering wheel  
Driver messages are available.  
To select the previous or next track/station,  
press the or button.

Using and customising  
the MMI  
The button on the multi-function steering  
wheel can be used to operate a specific MMI func-  
tion. You can select the function it accesses from  
a pre-defined list.  
Adjusting the audio and system volume  
You can adjust the volume of an audio source or  
system message (e.g. from the Audi assistant)  
while it is being played.  
To use the function that is currently program-  
med, press the button.  
To find out which function is currently program-  
med or to change the function, press and hold  
Adjusting the volume using the MMI control  
dial

To turn the volume up or down, turn the MMI  
control dial clockwise or anti-clockwise.  
To mute the sound, press the MMI control dial.

Switching the displays on/off  
Depending on the area/object, you may be able  
to make the following customisations:  
Switching the centre display on/off  
To switch the centre display off, press and hold  
You can arrange the apps in the app overview  
and the direct access panel in any order.  
In the app overview, you can delete downloaded  
apps via the context menu.

You can rearrange the information boxes on the

Creating and managing folders  
2 seconds and select the following on the cen-  
tre display: Passenger display off > Switch off.  
To switch the MMI passenger display on, touch  
the MMI passenger display, or  
To create a folder, press and hold an object and  
drag it onto another object.  
To rename a folder, open the folder and press  
the name. Enter the desired name.  
Press and hold the MMI control dial for approx.  
2 seconds and select the following on the cen-  
tre display: Passenger display on.  
There is a context menu for each folder and the  
objects it contains. You can use this menu to re-  
move individual objects from the folder or to de-  
lete the entire folder.  
Switching the standby design for the MMI  
passenger display on/off  
Changing the brightness of the MMI  
The passenger display has a standby mode. Only  
a screensaver is displayed in this mode. You can  
change the screensaver in the Car menu  
ðpage 26.

Car menu ðpage 26.  
Using accessibility functions on the MMI  
To switch the standby design on, press and  
select Standby design on, or  
Press and hold the MMI control dial for approx.  
2 seconds and select the following on the cen-  
tre display: Passenger display off > Standby  
design.  
The accessibility functions on the MMI can make  
it easier to use the system. Depending on the ve-  
hicle’s equipment, the following accessibility  
functions may be available:  
To switch the standby design off, touch the  
MMI passenger display.  
Subtitles  
High-contrast text  
Magnification  
Customising the MMI system  
You can download additional accessibility func-  
tions from the digital store.  
Certain objects on the MMI can be customised.  
For example, some objects can be moved and  
context menus can be opened.  
Changing the accessibility function settings  
on the MMI  
To move an object, press and hold the object  
Select: > Settings > Accessibility.  
and drag it to the desired position.  
To open the context menu for a particular ob-  
ject, press and hold the object.  
You can switch certain functions on/off by press-  
ing / or change their settings by pressing

Opening the Car menu  
You can switch certain functions on/off or adjust  
the vehicle settings in the Car menu. The availa-  
ble settings depend on the country and the  
equipment fitted in the vehicle.  
Select: > Car, or  
Open the quick access bar on the centre display  
and press .
