Driver message in the instrument cluster  
display  
To open/close the window automatically,  
press/pull the switch briefly to the second posi-  
tion. The window will stop moving immediately  
if the switch is operated again.  
To set an intermediate position, press/pull the  
switch to the first position until the window has  
reached the desired position.  
The following driver messages may appear, de-  
pending on the equipment installed in your vehi-  
cle:  
/ Child lock: fault. Please contact work-  
shop  
Opening/closing blinds on rear side windows  
Applies to: vehicles with electric blinds on the rear side win-  
There is a malfunction in the child lock. Press the  
button again.

Electric windows  
Always take care when closing the windows/  
blinds*. Incorrect use can cause injuries.  
Opening/closing windows and blinds  
Note  
When the doors are opened, the windows  
will automatically be lowered slightly.  
If the driver's or front passenger's door is  
opened with the window all the way down,  
the window will be raised slightly. The win-  
dow will be lowered again when you close  
the door.  
The windows can be operated for a few mi-  
nutes after the ignition has been switched  
off. The window switches are only deactiva-  
ted when the driver's door or the front pas-  
senger's door is opened.

The electric windows have a roll-back func-  
tion. The window may stop moving upwards  
automatically, and may also re-open even  
when there does not appear to be an obsta-  
cle. Pull and hold the electric window switch  
until the window is fully closed.
