This function allows you to customize the appear-  
ance of the Infotainment system using themes.  
Using the theme preview  
You can display a temporary preview of a theme.  
Applies to: MMI: Select on the home screen:  
THEMES > > a theme.  
Press Preview.  
Downloading a theme  
To continue using a theme, you must download  
it.  
Requirements: You must have the myAudi app in-  
stalled on your mobile device. You added your ve-  
hicle to the myAudi app. You are logged into the  
vehicle with your myAudi user.  
Open the myAudi app and download the de-  
sired theme, or  
Applies to: MMI: Select on the home screen:  
THEMES > > a theme.  
Follow the system instructions.  
Selecting a theme  
Requirement: you have downloaded a theme.  
Choose your desired theme in the myAudi app,

ance, select on the home screen: THEMES > No

Using as a screensaver  
The screensaver will display the background im-

You can connect your smartphone to the MMI  
with a cable or wirelessly* using the smartphone  
interface. Certain content on your smartphone is  
adapted in the MMI while driving and can be op-  
erated through the MMI.  
CarPlay or Android Auto the first time you con-  
nected your smartphone, then select on the  
home screen: SETTINGS > Connected devices >  
Smartphone interface > a smartphone.  
Follow the system instructions.  
Connecting a smartphone with a cable  
Requirement: the vehicle must be stationary and  
the ignition must be turned on. An iPhone from  
generation 6S or newer with lightning connection  
or USB connection must have the latest operating  
system installed or a smartphone with Android  
Auto app must have Android 8.0 or newer instal-  
led.  
WARNING  
Driving requires your complete and undivided  
attention. As the driver, you have complete re-  
sponsibility for safety in traffic. Never operate  
mobile devices while driving, because this in-  
creases the risk of an accident.

droid Auto  
Tips  
The functions that can be used depend on  
the following factors, among others:  
Requirement: the vehicle must be stationary and  
the ignition must be turned on. An iPhone from  
generation 6S or newer with lightning connection  
or USB connection must have the latest operating  
system installed or a smartphone with Android  
Auto app must have Android 11 or newer instal-  
led.  
The brand of your smartphone  
The version of your smartphone’s operat-  
ing system  
The software version of the app used  
The USB adapter cable and correct connec-  
tion  
To connect your smartphone wirelessly, turn on
