To charge the vehicle battery, first switch off
the engine, then use the jump-start terminals
in the engine compartment.

Make sure that the vehicle battery is always
sufficiently charged to ensure that the vehicle
battery can be used for its entire service life.

Long stationary periods
A discharged battery is indicated by a
red indicator light.
General information
Charge the vehicle battery when the drive-off
power is insufficient.
The vehicle battery permits stationary periods
of approx. 6 weeks.
The maximum charging voltage is 14.4 volts.
If the vehicle is stationary for a longer period,
charge the vehicle battery every 6 weeks to
avoid excessive discharge.
The following circumstances can negatively af-
fect the vehicle battery's performance:

Frequent short-distance drives.
Low battery charge
If the battery charge is very low, the vehicle
battery is automatically disconnected from the
vehicle electrical system.
Stationary periods of more than one month.
Safety information
If the vehicle battery is discharged, all electrical
components are deactivated. The vehicle can
no longer be operated.
NOTICE
Non-compatible external battery chargers
can damage the vehicle. There is a risk of
property damage. Only use battery chargers
recommended by the vehicle manufacturer
for the vehicle type. Observe the maximum
charging voltage. Information on suitable bat-
