Changing a bulb

Procedure for replacing a faulty bulb with a new bulb.

Front lamps

The headlamps are fitted with

polycarbonate glass with a protective

coating:

Changing a bulb should only be done

after the headlamp has been switched

off for several minutes (risk of serious

burns).

do not clean them using a dry

or abrasive cloth, nor with a

detergent or solvent product,

use a sponge and soapy water or a

pH neutral product,

Do not touch the bulb directly with

your fingers, use a lint-free cloth.

F

It is imperative to use only anti-

ultraviolet (UV) type bulbs to avoid

damaging the headlamp.

Always replace a failed bulb with a

new bulb with the same type and

specification.

when using a high pressure washer

on persistent marks, do not keep

the lance directed towards the

lamps or their edges for too long,

so as not to damage their protective

coating and seals.

1. Direction indicators (H21W amber).

2. Dipped beam headlamps (H7-55W).

3. Main beam headlamps (H1-55W).

4. Sidelamps (W5W).

5. Foglamps (PSX24W).

6. LED daytime running lamps.

Changing direction indicator

Remove the protective plastic cover by

pulling on the tab.

Turn the bulb-holder by a quarter turn.

Remove the bulb and change it.

Amber coloured bulbs, such as the

direction indicators, must be replaced

with bulbs of identical specifications

and colour.

If either of the direction indicator

warning lamps is flashing quickly, one

of the bulbs is faulty.

To refit, carry out these operations in reverse

order.

Remove the plastic protective cover.

Pull the bulb-holder and replace the bulb.

When refitting, close the plastic cover

carefully to ensure the sealing of the

headlamp.

Changing sidelamp bulbs

Remove the grille located alongside the

foglamp.

Through the cover, remove the foglamp

Unscrew the two fixing screws of the

finisher by pulling it towards you.

Changing the LED lamps

Changing integral direction

indicator side repeaters

For the replacement of this type of LED lamp,

contact a CITROËN dealer or a qualified

workshop.

While removing the module:

Insert a screwdriver in the edge of the

repeater.

Lever with the screwdriver to extract the

repeater and pull it out.

Disconnect the wiring from the repeater.

Replace the module.

take care not to damage your vehicle's

paintwork with the screwdriver,

do not allow the wiring and connector to

slip behind the wing.

Changing brake lamp/ sidelamp

unscrew the two lamp unit fixing bolts,

extract the lamp unit carefully pulling it

straight out,

F

turn the bulb-holder a quarter turn,

remove the failed bulb and replace it.

To refit, carry out these operations in reverse

order.

Changing the third brake lamp

bulbs (4 x W 5 W bulbs)

Changing the number plate lamp

bulbs (W5W)

open the boot,

open the boot,

remove the two plugs located on the boot

inner panel,

press on the body of the lamp with

2 screwdrivers to remove it from its

housing,

turn the corresponding bulb-holder a

quarter turn,

insert a thin screwdriver into one of the

lens' exterior holes,

push it outwards to unclip.

remove the lens.

press on the tabs using 2 screwdrivers,

disconnect the lamp unit connector,

turn the bulb-holder by a quarter turn,

remove the bulb and replace it.

pull the bulb and replace it.
