Remote control function  
The key allows the central locking or unlocking  
of the vehicle using the door lock. It also allows  
the engine to be started or switched off.  
Press this button to unfold or fold the key.  
Key  
The key allows starting and switching off the  
engine. It can also be used to lock/unlock the  
vehicle.  
The remote control can be used to perform  
the following remote functions (depending on  
version):  
Back-up procedures allow the vehicle to be  
locked/unlocked in the event of a failure of the  
remote control, the central locking, the battery  
etc. For more information on the Back-up  
procedures, refer to the corresponding section.  
-Unlocking/Locking/Deadlocking the vehicle.  
-Opening the fuel tank cap.  
-Activating/Deactivating the alarm.  
-Locating the vehicle.  
-Activating the vehicle's electronic immobilaser.  
The remote control includes a conventional key  
that allows the central unlocking/locking of the  
vehicle using the door look, as well as switching  
off the engine.  
Back-up, procedures allow the vehicle to be  
locked/unlocked in the event of a failure of the  
remote control, the central locking, the battery,  
etc. For more information on the Back-up

unlocked without the opening of a door  
or the boot, it will automatically lock itself  
again after thirty seconds.

As a safety measure, always follow  
best practices by checking that all doors are  
properly locked before leaving the vehicle.  
Failing to do so may increase the risk of  
theft of items inside the vehicle.

registration certificate, a personal identification  
document and, if possible, the label bearing the  
key code.  
The CITROËN dealer will be able to retrieve the  
key code and the transponder code required to  
order a new key.

wireless charging area. Wireless charging  
coil may impact the performance.  
2. Should not leave any one of the key inside  
the vehicle and vehicle will not auto lock as  
one key is present in the vehicle 3.  
3. Key should be inside the vehicle to crank  
the vehicle. Vehicle seeks for key while  
trying to crank the engine using Start Stop  
Button and during vehicle speed variation  
(High to Low).

Do not swallow the battery. Risk of chemical

Swallowing the battery can cause serious  
internal burning in only 2 hours and can be  
fatal.  
If batteries have been swallowed or inserted  
into a part of the body, seek immediate  
medical advice.  
Keep new and used batteries out of the  
reach of children.  
If the battery compartment does not close  
properly, stop using the product and keep it  
out of the reach of children.  
Hold the key blank and pull the key top cover  
in opposite direction.  
Remove the discharged battery from its  
housing.  
Insert the new battery, observing the  
polarity, and clip the cover onto the housing.

Risk of explosion if the battery is  
replaced with an incorrect type!  
Replace the battery with the same type.  
Unclip the cover by inserting a small  
screwdriver in the slot and lift the cover.  
Remove the discharged battery from its  
housing.  
Put the new battery in place, respecting the  
polarity. Start by inserting it into the contacts  
located in the corner, then clip the cover onto  
the unit.  
Reinitialise the remote control.
