IV - Access -> Boot for Your Citroen C4 Picasso SUV First Generation (2006-2013)

When the rear screen is open,  
you can access the boot by rais-  
ing the rear shelf using its tab  
(C4 Picasso).  
) Past the balancing point, allow  
the tailgate to lower and close  
itself (do not assist it or slow it  
down).  
BOOT  
Opening  
) After unlocking the vehicle com-  
pletely using the remote control  
or the key, with the boot closed,  
press the control 2 and raise the  
rear screen using the base 4 of  
the wiper arm.  
If the tailgate is not closed correctly:  
-
when the engine is  
running, this warning  
lamp comes on, accom-  
panied by a message in  
the multifunction screen  
for a few seconds,

The boot and the rear screen  
cannot both be open at the same  
time.  
-
when the vehicle is moving  
(speed above 6 mph (10 km/h)),  
this warning lamp comes on, ac-  
companied by an audible signal  
and a message in the multifunc-  
tion screen for a few seconds.  
) After unlocking the vehicle com-  
pletely using the remote control  
or the key, with the rear screen  
closed, pull on the lever 1 and  
raise the tailgate.  
Closing  
REAR SCREEN  
Opening  
) Lower the rear screen guiding  
it with the wiper arm until it is  
closed.  
Closing  
If the rear screen is not closed cor-  
rectly:  
-
when the engine is  
running, this warning  
lamp comes on, accom-  
panied by a message in  
the multifunction screen  
for a few seconds,  
-
when the vehicle is moving  
(speed above 6 mph (10 km/h)),  
this warning lamp comes on, ac-  
companied by an audible signal  
and a message in the multifunc-  
tion screen for a few seconds.  
This opening gives easy access  
to the boot, even if you are parked  
close to a wall or another vehicle.  
) Lower the tailgate using one of  
the two handholds 3, located on  
the interior trim.

Emergency boot release  
PANORAMIC SUNROOF  
Closing the roof blind  
System for mechanical unlocking of  
the boot in the event of a battery or  
central locking malfunction.  
) Rotate the control knob B to po-  
sition 0 to close the roof blind.  
It is tted with an electrically con-  
trolled blind.  
Recommendations  
-
Pressing the locking button on  
the remote control for more than  
two seconds will close the blind  
(practical when, for example,  
you leave your vehicle in a sunlit  
car park).

On returning to your vehicle, a  
press on control knob B reposi-  
tions the blind to the last position  
selected.  
Unlocking  
Opening the roof blind  
Anti-pinch  
) Fold back the rear seats to gain  
access to the lock from inside  
the boot.  
) Insert a small screwdriver into  
hole A of the lock to unlock the  
tailgate.  
) Rotate the control knob B to slide  
the roof blind to the desired posi-  
tion (positions 1 to 9).  
The blind has an anti-pinch func-  
tion.  
At the end of its travel, when the blind  
encounters an obstacle on closing, it  
stops and moves back slightly.  
Following a fault or after a battery  
disconnection during the movement  
of the blind or after it has stopped,  
you must re-initialise the anti-pinch  
function:  
) Push the white part, located in-  
side the lock, to the left to unlock  
the boot.  
) place the blind in the closed po-  
sition,  
) press control knob B for approxi-  
mately two seconds.
