Fuel quality

A label inside the ﬁller ﬂap tells you

which type of fuel to use.

While you are refuelling, the

engine must be stopped and the

ignition switched off.

For a petrol engine with a cata-

lytic converter, unleaded fuel is

compulsory.

The ﬁller neck is narrower to

ensure that only unleaded petrol

can be put in.

When you are seeking to ﬁll your

tank, do not persist after the

third cut-off ; this could cause

your vehicle to malfunction.

Fuel ﬂap

To open, press at the top left-hand

corner, then pull open from the

left.

The petrol engines are designed to

run on RON 95.

However, for better perform-

ance (petrol engine), we recom-

mend RON 98.

Locking ﬁller cap

Turn the key a quarter turn to lock

and unlock the ﬁller cap.

When refuelling, place the cap on

hook a.

Tank capacity

The tank has a capacity of approxi-

mately 7ꢀ litres.

if you should put in fuel that is not suitable for your vehicle's

engine type, it is imperative to have the tank drained before

you start the engine again.

You are advised to change the D1s bulbs at the same time, if one of them has failed.

9 Position the cover using its

guides and screw in.

clamps.

5 Take out the bulb.

6 Replace the bulb, exerting a

slight axial force.

7 Reconnect the connector, until

it is all the way in.

8 Replace the protective cap h.

The side repeater is sealed.

If the bulb is faulty, replace the side

repeater.

Contact a CITROËN dealer.

The third stoplamp uses diodes

which cannot be replaced.

In case of malfunction, contact

the transparent cover by lever-

ing it into the notch provided.

2 Lift up and pull the transparent

cover.

3 Using a small ﬂat screwdriver,

remove the faulty bulb.

ꢀ Fit the new bulb by ﬁrstly plac-

ing the angled base on the axis

of the clips, then press the bulb

in to insert.

5 Reﬁt the transparent cover by

inserting it from the edge oppo-

site the notch, then press on the

edge of the transparent cover.

after each operation,

check that the lamps work.

Towing (Boat, caravan, etc.)

If you are climbing a steep gradient

and the engine gets excessively

hot, certain functions become una-

vailable (e.g. sequential control of

the automatic gearbox, the air con-

ditioning).

If you are towing with a device not

approved by the CITROËN network,

you must deactivate parking assist-

ance using the button on the dash-

board. see “Parking assistance”.

It is recommended that you remove

the towing ball, so that it does not

interfere with the functioning of the

proximity sensors, when you are

not using a trailer.

For your safety and to avoid dam-

age to the roof, you must use roof

bars that are tested and approved

by AUTOMOBILes CITROËN.

Position the heaviest weight as

Towbar

We recommend that you use

CITROËN towbars and harnesses

which have been tested and

approved during the design of your

vehicle, and that these devices are

ﬁtted by a CITROËN dealer.

If a device is ﬁtted outside of the

CITROËN network, it must be car-

ried out using the electrical connec-

tions ﬁtted at the rear of your vehicle

and following the recommendations

of the manufacturer.

Tie the load down securely and

add warning signs if it is pro-

truding.

Drive conservatively, as the

vehicle will be more vulnerable

to side winds.

The stability of your vehicle may

be altered.

•

Remove the roof rack or roof

bars when you are not using

them.

it is essential to install a CiTrOËn approved electronic unit

when having a towbar ﬁtted, in order to prevent any risk of

malfunction or damage (risk of ﬁre).

if you are towing another vehicle, the latter must be free-

wheeling (gearbox in neutral).

Do not exceed the maximum permitted load.

“general”.

the compressor by pressing on

reach a pressure of ꢁ bars, the

tyre is not repairable.

miles at reduced speed, to allow

the puncture repair to set.

7 Adjust the tyre pressure using

the compressor according to

the recommendations for the

vehicle, and check that there

is no air escaping (no loss of

pressure). If you cannot reach

a pressure of ꢁ bars, the tyre is

not repairable.

Using the puncture repair kit

Puncture kit

The puncture repair kit is located in

the boot, underneath the tool kit.

The puncture repair kit is a com-

plete system including a compres-

sor and a setting product.

1 Remove the sticker found in the

kit, then stick it on the steering

wheel to remind you that you

are driving with a wheel that is

only ﬁt for temporary use and

that your speed is therefore lim-

ited.

Do not exceed ꢀꢀ0 km/h (68 mph).

The tyre must be examined,

then repaired or replaced as

soon as possible by a profes-

sional.

2 Connect the ﬂask 1 to the valve

of the tyre to be repaired.

3 Connect the electric cable to

one of the vehicle's ꢀꢁV sock-

ets.

Warning, the ﬂask of puncture repair gel contains ethylene-glycol, a product that is toxic if ingested

and irritating for the eyes.

Keep out of the reach of children.

After use, do not dispose of the ﬂask in the natural environment, but return it to a CITROËN dealer

or to a recognised recovery facility.

This repair kit is available from a CiTrOËn dealer.

1 Lift up the boot ﬂoor using the

strap (saloon) or the retractable

handle (Tourer).

2 Fold back the boot carpet

(saloon).

3 Attach the hook to the upper

section of the boot (in the middle

Reﬁtting a wheel

Wheel equipped with

deﬂation detection sensor

sensors. It is essential to have

repairs carried out by a CITROËN

dealer.

1 Fit the wheel on the hub,

using the centring guide. Make

sure that the contact surface

between the hub and the wheel

is clean.

5 Reﬁt the protectors on the

spare wheel

Your vehicle may be ﬁtted with a

different spare wheel to those on

the vehicle. When ﬁtting the spare

wheel, it is normal to notice that the

wheel bolt washers do not come

into contact with the wheel rim.

The spare wheel is secured by the

conical tapering of the wheel bolt’s

shaft.

When reﬁtting the original wheel,

ensure that the wheel bolt contact

surfaces are clean and in good

condition.

If your vehicle is ﬁtted with a spare wheel of a different size to

those on the vehicle, you must not exceed 80 km/h (50 mph)

whilst using the spare wheel.

The wheel bolts are speciﬁc to the type of wheel.

if the type of wheel is changed, check with your CiTrOËn dealer

that the wheel bolts are compatible with the new wheels.

note: take care to note down the code number engraved on the

head of the anti-theft bolt socket. This will enable you to obtain

replacement anti-theft bolt sockets from a dealership.

Towing eye ﬁxings are located at

the front and at the rear of the vehi-

cle.

Towing at low speed over a very

short distance is authorised in

exceptional cases depending on

the regulations in force.

Otherwise, it is necessary to

have your vehicle transported

on a recovery truck.

It is essential to check that the

electric parking brake is released.

Detach the cover:

a screwdriver at the top of the
