Lighting  
Move the lever towards the  
instrument panel.  
LIGHTING CONTROL  
Lighting control positions  
Headlamp flasher  
Pull the lever slightly towards the  
steering wheel.  
FRONT FOG LAMPS

Switch in neutral position.

Side and tail lamps  
The front fog lamps will operate only  
when ignition is in position II and the  
headlamps or side and tail lamps are  
switched on.  
Turn the rotary switch to the first  
position.  
Headlamps  
The lamp in the switch indicates  
operation.  
Turn the rotary switch to the second  
position.  
The front fog lamps should be used  
only when visibility is considerably  
restricted by fog, snow or rain.  
Main/dipped beam

The main beam only operates with  
the headlamps on.

Lighting  
Switch on the headlamps.  
WARNING  
The rear fog lamps may only be  
used when visibility is restricted  
to less than 50 m and must not be  
used when it is raining or snowing.  
The lamp in the switch indicates  
operation.  
With every ignition off/on cycle the  
switch is reset to off.

The level of the headlamp beams can  
be adjusted according to the vehicle  
load. Turn the thumbwheel  
downward to lower the beams, and  
upward to raise them.

Lighting  
With the vehicle unloaded the control  
DIRECTION INDICATORS  
must be in position 0. With the vehicle  
partially or fully loaded, the headlamp  
beams should be levelled for road  
illumination of between 35 and 100  
m.

When parking your vehicle with the  
doors open for a long period of time,  
the interior lamp and the luggage  
compartment lamp are switched off  
automatically after 10 minutes.  
Turn the wheel to the right in  
order to provide access to the  
cover in the wheel arch trim panel.  
If the interior lamp is left in the  
position C, it will be switched off after  
30 minutes.  
To switch the lamp back on, switch  
on the ignition (position II) for a short  
time, open a door or press the unlock  
button of the remote control.  
CHANGING A BULB  
WARNING  
During operation, the bulbs and  
their surroundings get hot.  
Switch off the lights and let the bulbs  
cool down before replacing them.

Remove the screw 1.  
Pull the cover out of the two clips

Always switch off lights and ignition  
before replacing any bulb.  
Follow the instructions in section  
Opening the headlight assembly.

1. Remove the wiring connector.  
2. Swivel the wire clip to the side.  
3. Pull out the bulb.  
Install in the reverse order.  
Pay attention to the tab quides when  
replacing.  
Headlamps - main beam  
H1, 55 watt halogen bulb.

Move the spring clip on the back  
of the lamp assembly upwards  
and remove the cover.  
Pay attention to the guide tab when  
installing.

1. Remove the wiring connector.  
2. Swivel the wire clip to the side.  
3. Pull out the bulb.  
Headlamps dipped beam  
H7, 55 watt halogen bulb  
Make sure position is correct.  
Side lamps  
5 watt wedge base bulb

On the lefthand side remove the  
two screws from the black cover  
and remove it.  
Follow the instructions in section  
Ka and Sportka.

Pull the bulb holder from the reflector,  
pull the bulb out and replace it.  
Install in the reverse order.  
Front direction indicators  
21 watt spherical bulb.  
Open the bonnet.  
Sportka

Turn the bulb holder anticlockwise  
and pull it out.  
Turn the bulb anticlockwise under  
slight pressure, take it out and  
replace it.  
Front fog lamps (Sportka)

H11, 55 watt halogen bulb  
First remove the three screws 1  
from the radiator grille.  
Pull the radiator grille carefully to  
the front to gain access to the  
bulb holder.

1. Carefully pull the lamp assembly  
out.  
2. Grasp the bulb holder, turn the  
lamp housing anti-clockwise and  
remove it.  
Reach behind the bumper and pull  
off the wiring connector.  
Turn the cover anticlockwise and  
remove it.  
3. Pull the bulb out.  
Install in the reverse order.  
Rear lamps  
Ka

Pull off the connector, release the  
wire clip and replace the bulb.

Pay attention to the guide tabs when  
replacing.  
Install in the reverse order.

Reach behind the bumper and turn  
the bulb holder anticlockwise.  
Pull the bulb holder out. Replace the  
bulb.  
Install in the reverse order.  
Replacing a bulb in the rear  
lamp assembly  
Central brake lamp  
5 watt wedge base bulb (5x)  
Open the tailgate.

Open the tailgate. Press in the locking  
tabs and remove the entire bulb  
holding plate.  
Turn the defective bulb under slight  
pressure anticlockwise and pull it out.

Install in the reverse order.  
Open the tailgate.

Lighting  
Unscrew both screws and remove  
the complete light assembly. Bend  
the housing outwards to unclip the  
light module.  
Press reflector fitting from the four  
locking points and pull off. Pull out  
wedge base bulb and replace.  
Fit the new bulb in reverse sequence.  
Number plate lamp

10 watt wedge base bulb  
Switch off the interior light.  
Carefully prise off the lens with a flat  
screwdriver and replace the  
defective bulb.  
Luggage compartment lamp  
5 watt wedge base bulb

Insert a flat screwdriver in the recess  
and prise the light assembly out.  
Turn the socket anticlockwise and  
remove it. The bulb is a push-fit.  
Interior lamp  
10 watt spherical bulb

Lighting  
Release the rotary fasteners by  
turning anticlockwise and remove the  
trim panel.  
Turn the bulb holder anticlockwise  
and remove it. Pull the bulb out and  
replace it.  
Install in reverse order.
