The steering wheel and the driver's seat will  
move back to the last drive position in the fol‐  
lowing cases:

WARNING Risk of an accident if the  
memory function is used while driving  
The adjustment process is stopped.

WARNING Risk of entrapment if the  
memory function is activated by children  
If you use the memory function on the driv‐  
er's side while driving, you could lose control  
of the vehicle as a result of the adjustments  
being made.  
Children could become trapped if they acti‐  
vate the memory function, particularly when  
unattended.

You switch the power supply or the ignition  
on when the driver's door is closed

Only use the memory function on the  
driver's side when the vehicle is station‐  
ary.

Never leave children unattended in the  
vehicle.

You close the driver's door with the ignition  
switched on.

To call up: press and hold the relevant pre‐  
set position button 1, 2 or 3 until the front  
seat, the steering wheel, Head-up Display  
and outside mirror are in the stored position.

When leaving the vehicle, always take  
the SmartKey with you and lock the  
vehicle.  
The memory function can be used when the igni‐  
tion is switched off.  
% When you release the preset position button,  
steering wheel, the seat and mirror setting  
functions stop immediately. The Head-up  
Display continues to be adjusted.  
Storing  
Seat adjustments for up to three people can be  
stored and called up using the memory function.

DANGER Risk of exhaust gas poisoning

Combustion engines emit poisonous exhaust  
gases such as carbon monoxide. Exhaust  
gases can enter the vehicle interior if the tail‐  
gate is open when the engine is running,  
especially if the vehicle is in motion.

Head-up Display

Set the seat, the steering wheel, the Head-up  
Display and the outside mirrors to the  
desired position.  
Press memory button M and then press pre‐  
set position button 1, 2 or 3 within three sec‐  
onds.  
#
Always switch off the engine before  
opening the tailgate.  
An acoustic signal sounds. The settings are  
stored.

Never drive with the tailgate open.
