Opening and closing  
After opening one of the front doors, the  
vehicle is ready for operation.

1. Close the driver's door.

Press the lock button on the ve-  
hicle key.  
All vehicle access points are locked.

With the doors closed, press the lock  
button on the driver's door.  
Press the unlock button on the vehi-  
cle key.  
The fuel filler flap remains unlocked.  
The vehicle is not secured against theft  
when locking.  
If only the driver's door and fuel filler flap  
have been unlocked due to the settings in  
place, press the button on the vehicle key

Press the unlock button on the driv-  
er's door.  
Panic mode  
You can trigger the alarm system if you find  
yourself in a dangerous situation.

Press and hold the panic mode  
button on the vehicle key for at  
least 3 seconds.  
Press the button for closing the  
cargo area on the inside of the tail-  
gate.  
Press the panic mode button on  
the vehicle key three times in  
quick succession.  
To switch off the alarm: press any button.

Unlock the vehicle, then press the Open  
button on the outside of the cargo area.

On the vehicle key, press and  
hold the button for opening/clos-  
ing the cargo area for approx.  
1 second.  
Indicator/warning lights  
The indicator/warning lights can illuminate  
in a variety of combinations and colors.  
Depending on the setting, the doors may  
be unlocked.  
Several of the lights are checked for  
proper functioning and illuminate tempora-  
rily when drive-ready state is turned on.
